Last year was good. People mainly complain about it because they weren't wooed and fondled enough. Literally "You didn't spoon feed me information at my preferred pace" and "I found out some information at a moment in time that was not my preferred moment of time to find out information" were the primary complaints.

Btw: what do you guys think will be the "oh and it's available right now" moment of this E3? I'm just waiting for the first AAA game to get released when it's announced. I would imagine Valve would do such things. Just imagine they are announcing L4D3 and releasing it within the minute.

Amazon and a bunch of other retailers put up a June 24 release for Until Dawn back in March. I could see them having a similar demo like at PSX, with people shouting their choice and all, and then say, 'that was a lot of fun, wasn't it? It's available next week!'

I doubt anyone has the balls to do a "available right now" moment for a full game, though. :p

Unrelated topic: Just when the hell are Amazon going to be unveiling their master plan? I felt like given the cavalcade of presentations this year, Amazon may as well have one.

not really news but one of Sony's Asia marketing managers says this year's conference might surpass last year's.

I enjoyed the show, the Powers part threw off the pacing for the rest of the show. I hope they fix that this time around. If the have to do it, do it near the beginning like after the first trailer which will be Uncharted 4, then blow us away after.

Last year there was not many games I was interested in, Grim Fandango was the highlight but I enjoyed the show overall.

Yeah, their Gamescom conference was much better. Game after game announced and the pacing was the best I've ever seen for a Sony conference.

Really sucks they're not having one there this year.

Gamescom will be a little more boring this year. We have to wait 4 months for the conference in Paris instead of 6 weeks for Gamescom.

Does anyone have the link to Sony's 2014 E3 thread?

My top 3:

1. Uncharted 4

2. Call of Duty: Black Ops III

3. Gran Turismo 7

It seems popular here, but i don't really care for the "it's available now" announcements.

If it was something exciting, i missed out on the lead up to that thing. I don't get to chat worth friends about it, can't plan my day around it, can't build any anticipation.

If it isn't exciting (betas), it being available is no different than when i check the store any other time.

A God of War 4 teaser is probably a lock for Sony's conference.
Then full gameplay reveal at PSX in December.

Same happened with Uncharted last year.

I think it's a safe assumption for three reasons:

1. God of War 3 Remastered is out one month after E3 and the announcement of '4' will drum up extra hype and sales for that game.

2. The latest trailer for GOW3: R had 4 logos at the end. Stealth tease.

3. It's the 10th anniversary of the series this year.

Im actually more excited about KH3 potentially having a new Hikki song. She hasnt made a new studio album since TITO, and usually her KH songs are on her studio albums. Still feel bad her mother passed tho :/

One thing I noticed too is that in the teaser trailer for III last year, they used the Orchestral version of Simple and Clean which is amazing.

It would be awesome if they got Utada Hikaru to do the opening song for Kingdom Hearts III. They've been reusing her songs for I and II because, if I recall correctly, they had payment disputes or something. I hope they work out something for Kingdom Hearts III. I'm really surprised at how old the series is now.

As much as I love Simple & Clean and Sanctuary, it's time for a new Utada Hikaru theme for KH3 which tops the previous two.

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.
Final Fantasy VII for PS4.

Farcry,BB,NMS,LBP and Uncharted. Aside from those, pretty meh show.
You forgot little things like FF XV and.. KH III.
I was also interested by Abzu, and Batman Arkham Knight made a pretty big impression if I remember well.

All in all their 2014 conference was very good imo, but Bendis/ Powers and Shawn Layden threw a big wrench in the middle of it.

What for be the optimal number of exclusives to have for MS/Sony/Ninty for the next calendar year? I think 8 AAA and 4 indie/small scale gems. What mix of genres do they need? How many do you hold back from announcing for latter shows? Is Sony too Japanese heavy? Does MS have enough RPGs? Does Sony need GT7 to satisfy racing fans? Will we see thatgamecompany? This thread makes me ponder too much

Sound reasoning.

Just imagine the splendour and grandeur of the setting they'll achieve on PS4. I can't wait.

How time flies lol. I guess there was the Dead Island 2 trailer which also made an impression, and Tim Schafer with Grim Fandango (for the Nostalgics) Oh and Mortal Kombat X too no?

Anyways, same point about Bendis and Layden, but overall it didn't last that long, it was just very badly paced.

Predictions for Ubisoft.. Shouldn't be too hard.
- AC: Syndicate
- Rainbow Six
- The Division
- Beyond Good and Evil 2
- Just Dance
- Ubiart Games
- Workout game
- Toy Soldiers
- New AAA IP

Far Cry? That was one of the more boring parts of their show, since we'd already seen it at Ubisoft's conference. Grim Fandango, Batman, Abzu, Magicka 2, MGSV, inFamous First Light, Entwined, GTAV and Digital Devolver were far more noteworthy.

Sony's conference last year was a good show based on content, it was just so poorly laid out that most people seem to forget half the games that were crammed into the first half of it.

So what one game getting announced and/or shown would make this one of the best E3s in a while for each of you?

A new Dead Space done right?
A new .Hack done right for a big public? (It was a 9.99999/10 for me)
A new game made by Kojima, Guillermo del Toro, founded by anyone? (Sony if I may choose)
The FFVII HD remaster for PS4 turn out to be FFVII Remake?

None of this will happen, and that's why I'm not gonna be disapointed, but gosh...
GOSH

If one of these happen, would make me so much happy I would buy for all plataforms I have. Still do it with Diablo 3, bought 3 times: PC, PS3, PS4, and looking for that PS5 comingo soony.

After today's sort of.... tease (or was it yesterdays)? Hell, I couldn't agree more. Hoping if they make a new one, it'll be on par, or greater than what Xenoblade Chronicles X is capable of. I hope they borrow inspiration from that game in terms of general art direction and scale and even try to do something bigger. What I wouldn't give for that.............

The game franchise has more than 4 games, but, the main series have 4(1, 2, 3 and Ascension).

Four-logo-mistery solved?

But yeah. It' possible to be GoW4 logo.

So, guys, which are your 3 most anticipated games of the show?
  1. No Man's Sky - Apparently Sean Murray and I share the exact same dream game and he is making it. This is the most excited I have been for any game since Ocarina of Time. I love absolutely everything we have seen and heard so far and I cannot wait to see more.

  2. Persona 5 - I have probably spent more time on Persona 4 Golden than any other game ever. I've lost count of how many times I have replayed the game. Also teddy is my spirit animal.

  3. Level 5 game - Whatever Level 5 has in store I am absolutely ready. Rogue Galaxy is among my favorite games of all time and Ni No Kuni was in my top 5 favorite games on PS3. I've never played a game form Level 5 that I didn't adore. So consider me pumped to hear what they have in store

Close runner up
Sony Sega exclusive - Solely because it could be Phantasy Star and Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 is my favorite game ever. But the fact that it might not be Phantasy Star means that it could be a crushing disappointment. Therefore, not in my top 3.

This is gonna be a great E3. I can feel it in my bones.

Also would loooove to see something PSO related. Heck, even a remaster of Episode 1 & 2 would be great!

I gotta admit, I think I'm most excited about the Nintendo and Bethesda conferences which is super unusual for me.

I guess it is because I have a Gaming PC now, and is totally into 3DS. So I'm looking forward to some 3DS announcements, hopefully remakes for N3DS.

And I'm curious about Fallout 4, and it would be cool if they even show Doom and Dishonored 2.

For Sony I'm excited about Horizon the most. and hopefully we will get a glimpse of Ratchet & Clank Redux and a re-reveal of The Last Guardian.

Of games of third party publishers I wanna see Persona 5 the most alongside FIFA 16 and PES 2016.

If I have to make the top 3 the rest of you have made, it would probably look like this:

1. FIFA 16
2. Horizon
3. Persona 5

I have no idea what Microsoft can do to convince me to buy a Xbox One. A price drop won't happen. I guess I'm curious about Rare's new project.

If we are talking about unannounced games that I want to happen, then Gran Turismo 7 is one. Mass Effect 4 is another, as well as Level 5's JRPG. Sony Bend also have to turn up soon. Oh, and I want Mario Galaxy 3D or Twilight Princess 3D to happen.

I have a question for those of you with surer memories of the months leading up to past E3s, specifically in relation to the The Last Guardian. Would it to be fair to say that, this time around, it seems like we have more evidence than ever for that game's reemergence at this year's E3? Or are the recent rumours and indications comparable to those that were floating around in former years?

I'm glad that we're gonna be getting more games thatusspace as a setting this E3. Star Wars Battlefront and Mass Effect are gonna beauties too see this generation.

I'm also holding out for no reason whatsover that a Final Fantasy 7 remake teaser could appear this e3. I feel with Square having a conference again and the lack of any news related to the port may slightly boost the chances of it actually happening.

I'm sure we will probably see Watch Dogs 2 in some form.

Seems a bit early after the backlash towards the previous one. I think it will be a 2017 title and it would be smarter to avoid showing the game too early.

Anyway I'm most excited about:
1. The Last Guardian, just for the hype and reactions here even if it isn't re- revealed.
2. Horizon
3. Fire Emblem If

Not excited about seeing Persona 5 at E3 anymore, the trailer already satisfied my craving, don't want to spoil it too much. Just give me a release date for EU.

At nearly every event there's enough info to believe that TLG will popup, but you're much better off with not expecting it to be there for a number of reasons. The ICO/SotC collection was the last time that anything was officially shown for the game. That was in 2011. And things change when it comes to games. They may be planning to show TLG right now, but something could come up to change that. It was rumored that Bloodborne was supposed to be shown at TGS 2013, but something made Sony push it back to the following E3.

It's unlikely that Sony will ever tease the TLG reveal. And I mean teasing to the press and to gamers. They aren't going to let anyone outside of the company know it's going to happen. It's just going to popup at an event when they're ready to show it. So it'll be a surprise whenever it does popup again.
