I'm begging you. No tripping/interactables that mess with the gameplay.

Blanka's new move. He eats the banana and leaves the peel as a trap.

I'd bet anything.

He wouldn't put Blanka in the pic if it was "his banana". Too obvious. I know Blanka is his bae but still, no
also fuck blanka

One Piece 2D fighter would be the stuff of jizztastic dreams.

Exists, is horrible. Okay maybe not horrible but it's not great. It's called One Piece Super Grand Battle X & came out on 3DS in Japan last year, imagine Smash Bros where someone spent no time or money making it; I got the demo and couldn't even bear to finish that.

Maybe this was the hate/love thing ENB was hinting to, if it is then thank god there's a beta because I'm 100% sure people will hate it.

If it's Blanka then fuck Blanka, nobody likes him. I don't know maybe it's popular with the casuals, my ex used to pick Blanka.

Aww man, I missed all the F/UC talk. :( But yeah, the game is beyond broken -- I imagine it's the sort of game that people who don't play fighting games imagine fighting games being like (especially as you're sitting there eating a Gilgamesh infinite from halfway across the screen for the last 30 seconds). I also find it amusing how the game is called FUC in America, but in Japan it's referred to as Unko (which translates to... well... shit).

Please don't let it be fucking Blanka =(
That would be such a disappointing reveal... so of course one of the new characters is going to be Blanka.

Blanka doesn't bug me nearly as much as the fact that the image is STILL on that fucking Hong Kong stage.

Also, this game seems to have OTG damage. He'll totally be able to combo from the peel.

Tokido, Mago, and Momochi are all going to E3.

They also mentioned that Sabohani might be going to SEAM too. Tokido also said that he will use sub characters at SEAM. He hinted at more than 1 sub characters.

Bebop is better breh.

Momochi's akuma just got bopped by dj on topanga. This is why Daigo said he's going to use Guile against any Deejay.

Wandering mercenary crew
Mixing [type of music] with [anime genre]

aside from that they're p different though

The latter seems to be a Watanabe staple kinda making it irrelevant as a point of comparison. Correct me If I'm wrong, I haven't seen Space Dandy.

The former I guess is fair. There's even the annoying little tag-along as a plot device.

lau's strengths-
guard break (beats fuzzy guard, 46P guaranteed after, 3P+K launch guaranteed on sideturned)
3PPK is a good string, should hitconfirm after first hit, disadvantageous even on last hit so fuzzy after
pretty good throws (214 for guaranteed 6PP into kokei mixup, 46 for dmg, 6 for wall dmg, neutral for ringouts - even when broken!)
good half circulars (46P+K guarantees 46P combo on CH and is -5 on guard, KK is +3 on guard <<but high, high>>, 4P confirms to K into kokei, 66P+K is mid half circ and only sort of shitty on guard)
great 6P
KOKEI! (mostly safe mid launcher, circular that leads to backturned mixup, guard break, mid that causes a crumple on sideturned CH... really good stance!) - use 6PP <<hit confirm pls>>, 4P+KP, 3KP <<vs crouch, hit confirm>> and 4PK <<pls hitconfirm>> to enter kokei

lau's weaknesses-
imo worst PK string in the game, literally only useful for punishing as it is -9 on guard
no fast mid launcher (many characters have a 17f big gamble launcher, lau's 3P+K is a bit slower)
sort of bland

i forgot that K+G is like +3 on ST guard for some reason and puts you in kokei, so obv that's really good but it's high

Thanks, it'll take some time to fully digest this stuff. I found the Segaamerica tutorial so that should help as well.

Yeah Lau does seem pretty bland.

Got my ass kick by both him and Jacky online and can honestly say you can't go wrong with either, with Jacky obviously being the very flashy one.

That makes it sound like it started out bad and has a bad reputation.

No at all, there is a specific reason why I mentioned that. A story related reason.

What's with all this actual anime discussion

I thought I was in the wrong thread at first

Edit: you could balance Saitama in a fighting game by giving him a massive cool down after every action. Make it when his life at goes down he doesn't actually lose, but gets bored and goes home.

Make his hit stun animation be him picking his nose or reading a magazine.

So, Slayer?

Champloo has no real overarching story and chars a little bland. Stand-out episodes occasionally, but nothing to really pull you in.

There's an overarching story but it's weak compared to Bebop. As are the characters.

Nothing in Champloo comes close to Ballad of Fallen Angels or the finale. Shit was poetic.

Champloo's final scenes felt like taunts for people that liked/watched Bebop.

Love them both. Bebop will always be the GOAT.

Elegy of Entrapment (1 & 2) was some amazing shit though.

I still need to give Champloo a proper full viewing. It's the only one of Watanabe's productions I haven't watched in full despite loving the hell out of its style. That said, Champloo also doesn't have Pierrot Le Fou. That single episode was doing the WILDEST fucking shit in animation and that was in 1999 breh. I was watching it the other day thinking how the fuck does it still look so good? If you told me it came out in the modern era I wouldn't doubt it at all.
