"Gran Turismo Sports" for PS4 pops up on Croatian retailer

chubigans

y'all should be ashamed
They added some new trees, textures, and implemented real-time lighting. The actual track model looks considerably lower quality compared to something like Bathurst though.

Ah, I thought it looked better than that but I can't really remember. But yeah, some of those tracks were really quite poor visually.

What if by "Sports" they mean Motorsports? Similar to what Project CARS is going for with its motorsports-focused career mode?

EDIT: Beaten by

If it's real that's my thought.

Limited to on track and off road rally, real world circuits only, and real world motorsports cars only, so they can provide a full damage mode without manufacturers hamstringing them. Some WRC, some DTM and LeMans supercars and done. Maybe half a dozen tracks, 30-50 cars and a $30-40 price tag to whet people's appetite until a full mega game next year and beta test all the online capabilities. All in 1080/60.

If they announce this for this fall they will sell millions of it.

if thats going to be the actual title...consider me concerned. one thing Polyphony Digital does NOT need is a widened focus, and thats what the title implies to me...

GT7 absolutely MUST be a solid, polished, feature complete entry in the series after GT5/6...if they want to go crazy for GT8 after forming a solid base with 7...so be it...

but I'm officially concerned...

Doesn't the title, if it's even real, indicate a tighter focus?

Which is exactly where this retailer got the idea from ?

Or maybe Amar is the retailer.

Sorry but how does this Amar guy know?

Dudes a legend, dropped lots of info about GT5:p and GT5 on GTPlanet until most people there lost their minds and all the sane people left. He's like a crazy buttocks but for GT. :p

I hope GT Sports is mainline, adding in bikes because we sure the fuck ain't getting a TT2 anytime soon. :(

nope, i envision Kaz doing something like trying to include any, and all motorsports he can...and completely losing the focus of what people want, or not being able to do any particular things great...

That's one way to look at it. There's also a certain class of cars referred to as sports cars, which is how I interpreted the title, seeing as the game is probably a stop gap towards GT7.

That Gran Turismo preorder was up on their site for at least a month now, I check their store on a regular basis (I'm from Croatia) and never thought of it as anything big, everyone knows a new GT is coming so I thought it was just a preoder placeholder.

I feel the 'sports' part isn't part of the name but the category of the game. Seeing it is a placeholder game cover, a mistake may have been made when categorizing the assumed product.
Also, about an E3 announcement; wouldn't they want to wait to give DC all the space with its DLCs especially since GT won't be out till another year and a half?

If nothing else, Sony/Official Sony importer are milking this free PR by removing it.

That would be awesome

Will my dream of a Paris-Dakar Rally mode in a GT game possibly come to fruition in this hypothesised motorsport version? Or am I fukked?

GT is already very "sports car" focused...it needs to be more "race car" focused...

I would say that this is not "Gran Turismo 7". I would say this is a title exclusively to the Project Morpheus and being like the "Prologue" version of Gran Turismo 7. Because I think Polyphony wanted to test the VR features and the new additions that will come to Gran Turismo 7.
But hey, that's my prediction.
