As someone that dislikes the majority of open world games these days, this is one instance where I feel it could work. Why? The actual movement through the world is fun.

That's really it.

Moving through most open world games is, simply put, boring. The actual act of getting from objective to objective isn't often fun.

By making traversal challenging and fun it could make getting around the world actually feel great.

Walruses, camels, bears, rabbits, tigers and badgers.
I'm skeptical about the open-world aspect, but I'm just happy that we got a new Mirror's Edge without heavy amounts of combat/gunplay forced upon the franchise.

Early 2016 is starting to look packed.

Wasn't that the case for the first game too? I wasn't expecting anything more.

yeah, it's definitely not looking to be any worse story wise, but a game as experiential as this could benefit from a more interesting narrative angle, i feel.

Art style is still amazing.

I'm concerned about the open world aspect, I wonder if you can really accomplish the same tight movement/platforming with that which was the highlight of ME.

I'm surprised how little they've showed considering that this is one of the closer titles which actually does need all the promotion it can have.

Yay, server errors!

But they can't really make the traversal challenging or else it will be frustrating going back and forth from point A to B and back to A again.

While it looks like Morgan Freeman, isnt the voice a bit of? Or am I just denying the awesomeness it were if he was in the game?

Fucking open world, i'm not getting it now.
Linear games are cool, everything doesn't need to become open world

Please buy this game, Joe CoD.

I want more games like this.

I'm surprised EA gave this series a second shot honestly.

I hope that there is lots of running.

Uninterrupted.

Dammit at being open-world. I loved the linearity of ME1. The experience will be so much more diluted now.

I thought the original ME was screaming to be open world. As long as the world itself is designed with the parkour/traversal mechanics in mind, it should rule.

The small snippets of gameplay looked good with evidence of a very similar momentum based free running compared to the original game. I hope we get a proper video of someone playing the game for a few minutes this E3, since there was mention of it being available to play at the booth.

I just hope open world doesn't come at the expense of good level design. Plus I want proper multiplayer races/time trials as well...

So there's no gunplay at all? I actually liked occasionally picking up a gun and using it before throwing it away.

PLEASE be good. I am so happy we live in a world in which Mirror's Edge gets a sequel. The first was so good.
