People are having a laugh if they think the reason Team ICO games are hailed as masterpieces and so loved is due to their graphics. Those people have certainly never played an ICO game.

I couldn't agree more, and you have comments like TLG thread lacked hype because it's boring.

I'm pretty much in the camp that some are totally clueless of what Team ICO is all about, much less played even one of their games with comments like boring gameplay.

While visually very impressive it didn't appeal to me at all. Can't deal with the dull machines. They've taken over the world, devastated mankind, but stomping around like dumb-ass dinosaurs?

This post makes me happy.

Happy that I have the imagination to not need a huge backstory to accept something that's a truly interesting take on a post-apocalyptic tale.

'Can't take' it.

Game looks good, but it makes you wonder. Will the game actually look like this when it releases?

Well the footage wasn't totally perfect, it had some pop-in and there was a distinct undertone of Killzone SF engine in there. So, yes, it will look like this.

The face modelling has received a notable upgrade from KZ models. Also, those dinobots remind of two things:

1. Transformers (obviously)
2. Jaegers from Pacific Rim

I hope her name isn't a clue to the story, like it was in
The Order: 1886. I'm thinking about a girl who either unites the humans and machines, or is partly a machine herself.

Speaking of which, was there any easter eggs hinting this game in KZ Shadowfall?

Best looking game at the show, (perhaps a tie with UC4). I was mighty impressed with the detail in the world and the character model, not a crappy texture in sight, beautiful foliage and draw distance. This is certainly a visual tour de force. Now we need to see all these games at a high quality. I'm very excited for this one.

Seriously - how amazing is this E3? Everything looks fantastic.
I know, Great E3 this year.

Love how this game looks and what it looks to be. More interesting than Killzone to me, let me play it Guerrilla I'll promise to bring pie :D

Oh, so this is an RPG? Looked like an action adventure to me but an RPG sounds even better. Great looking game.

That's the same thing I said and gaf jumped all over me for it.

I don't think that is a bad thing to just be an action game, but I am eager to see these rpg elements.

I hope guerilla didn't mean tomb raider or infamous rpg elements, but rather the witcher/DAi or (one can wish) monster hunter rpg elements. I'd like to have builds of the sort. Nothing too extensive like souls series, but builds where each play through could be different.

Otherwise, I think GG needs to retract their 'rpg statement'.

The graphics were amazing. I didn't enjoy the main character though. I will take a wait and see approach with Guerilla Games. I have been burned in the past by them.

Watching the Gamersyde video, I imagine it'll look like this. The pop-in is obvious and the IQ isn't immaculate. It looks pretty much exactly like Killzone Shadow Fall but on a larger scale so I can believe the game will look exactly like the reveal trailer when it launches.

I knew this game would impress me but WOW, this beat the very lofty expectations I had. The graphics are simply amazing but the gameplay also looked great, really have a feeling this game will be special.

This game absolutely blew my mind. When it transitioned into gameplay my jaw dropped and never picked up.

The graphics, the design, the art, the lore..everything is just top tier so far.

Watched the conference on my big screen and when the gameplay started I gripped the fucking chair and moving through those plants like that I was like woah woah. I thought Ubisofts warrior game was what I needed but I was so so wrong. GG you done good.

It didn't have the memes backing it up like other things Sony showed, but this was the highlight of the conference for me. This game looks stunning

Only Sony exclusive that really jumped out at me at E3. Wonderful art direction, they brought in the best in the business to work on writing and quest design (still to be decided if they're good, but there's hope), and high production values.

They just have to cut down on the woman's self-narration as the game plays. I've never seen it implemented well in any game I've played where its prevelent (Uncharted, Dragon's Dogma, Tomb Raider, etc).

Wow.
I was legit shocked by this. And as many of you said, I can't believe I'm hyped for a GG game. Looks like their best work since Killzone 2. I'm glad it is SO different and unique. One of my game of the show candidates so far.

And horray an interesting female protagonist. Never thought it would come from GG tbh.

This is like 90s kid fantasy come to life. And right after TLG too? In gameplay? The amount of surprises
Sony had for this conference truly astounds me.
