Is Preview invitation only or is that just the easiest way? I don't see a sign up but I'm wondering if they sometimes accept cold sign ups

Just invite only. Sometimes they give out codes but no cold sign ups that I know of.

Well folks, I apologize in advance, but I have come here to ask for an invite to the preview program. I am in the Xbox 360 preview program, but I foolishly assumed that would automatically put me on the Xbox One list. As an owner since launch, I'd like to be able to participate in these preview discussions. Thanks to anyone who sends me an invite. Please. :) I apologize for not asking earlier. It looks like a ton of people have already been asking in here.

Still no invite... someone let me know if they invite me please. Thanks. :)

Hi guys & girls, loving the new updates coming to the XO, can't wait to stream via Win10.
I'm currently not a preview member but I was wondering if anyone would be able to invite me to the preview?

Streaming has a lot of inputlag for me :(. Also I tried to splitscreen with each player on a different screen but both devices just showed a splitscreen?

Streaming has been perfect for me so far. Just had a round of Gears and BF Hardline and only noticed slight input lag but it was perfectly within an acceptable limit for network streaming, I actually think that it was so minimal that only people who are super sensitive to it (I am) will notice. Probably less lag than what a lot of people have on their televisions. Make sure you don't do this over wireless and use you mouse to change the settings on the top right hand side while streaming. Medium is default and High looks much nicer.

I can't believe how good it looks and runs. It shits on remote play by a mile.

I still haven't received an invite, so if anyone has a spare one, I would be more than happy to receive it!

Thanks!

Remember to add the person that invites you. I read somewhere that you have to be on eachothers friends list. I seriously cant remember where but it probably at least boosts your chance.

When I watched a friends gamertag it said Xbox Dash PB on his activity? What is that? I do not have that on mine and I am in the Preview Program.

Yeah, it does. Hope they add a ton of advanced functionality to it.

I agree. I was already impressed with the short bit we've seen. I hope they continue to work on how well Kinect hears people. Being able to start a party hands free will be great.

I tried the streaming to windows 10 feature last night and it worked rather nicely. The audio was having issues at first but it eventually fixed itself. Hooked my surface to my bedroom TV and played ESO in bed. I love the future.

I do too. lol
This is a really nice feature especially for games like ESO.

Has anyone tried streaming via vpn? That would be ideal for gaming on the go for games that aren't dependant on precise controls

Dang, still no friend request for an invite.

I hate begging, but I will love you forever and also have a 360 Tomb Raider code you could have for your trouble and if you don't want it, I'll give it away here!

Come in here for preview news, sees nothing but invite requests.

Goes into backwards compat thread for news, sees nothing but invite requests.

Maybe one of the nice people that invite loads of people could start a thread dedicated to invites. I'd do it, but then folks would expect me to invite loads of people, which I don't have time to do.

Yea, it happens in every update preview thread ever, and is super annoying. There needs to be one place for all the request, and it be barred from any actual discussions.

If any one has or knows of a good video showcasing Streaming please let me know. I will add to OP. I have the Faq sheet there now but would rather have a good video overview.

I would also really appreciate an invite please. I enjoy using the preview builds for all the other Microsoft products and this is the only one that I don't have.

Thanks in advance!

Question to those of you with the preview:

If you are still within wireless range of the console with your controller - do you have to still plug the controller into the PC? Or can you simply still control the console natively with the controller and just see the visual feedback on your second screen via the streaming?

Not sure if the question makes sense.... But it would make it easier to not have to stretch a usb cable to a PC.

Yep, killed any use I might have for this.

I think phil talked about getting that into the streaming. Most likely an update after it's fully implemented. would be REALLY good during the holiday rush..

"Hey babe, you can watch orange is the new black while i play halo 5 on the pc downstairs." ... " What?"
"Yeah we can do that with the xbox one now. It can stream games to any windows 10 pc so you can watch your shows while i can still play too!"

;) Come on xbox , get that feature in now! lol

It's done through the PC. Right now that means having it ran through USB until the dongle comes out.

Who would have thought that the ability to play last-gen games would get us all excited like this?! That being said, and I really didn't want to do this, (I hate begging, lol) I'm going to ask myself.

Thanks ahead of time. :)

Any word on sound through your PC, or do I need to hook up a headset to my xbox one controller?
