For Multiplats its kind of random , for Exclusives , short of a Halo : Master Chief Collection , I've only had smooth launches from Console games.

Would you not make the argument that PC gamers are far more picky and/or demanding?

I actually considered The Witcher 3 a smooth launch, but I know the community made a huge deal over camera stutter and not maintaining 60fps at ultra settings (which were a damn far sight ahead of the console version settings).

I think the vast majority of pc game launches are generally smooth (game looks better and/or runs better than console version) - which is my only point m

Lords of the Fallen stuttered like hell and had Denuvo. Also, you can twist words as much as you want but Denuvo is DRM.

I played Origins in 1080p all sliders on mid (got told that's the limit with DX10) with iirc 2xAA on a HD4850 with 1GB VRAM,an E8500 CPU overclocked to 4GHz and 8GB RAM with pretty much locked 60fps, even got up to 80fps max in the benchmark. Arkham Origins ran like a dream.

Yeah, I remember that as well. I played it on a single 680 with all the PhysX stuff enabled and I pretty much never dropped below 60.

Tried playing the first couple hours with that cap on, because I assumed it would be fixed sometime soon. Got home from work just now eager to see what it would play like without the cap, so I set it to 144fps, and it's sitting at around 90 most of the time.

GTX 970, i7 4770k stock

Also Windows 10

You're not the first person reporting unusually high performance on Windows 10. Hmm.

Avalance will most likely (hopefully) do the port in-house. If Just Cause 2 is anything to go by Mad Max (and Just Cause 3) will both run great on PC

Oh yeah, that's my hope, since Just Cause 2 is so good on PC.
And with amazing modding capabilities.

Wow, how utterly disappointing. I hope folks are enjoying Steam Refunds. If this is anything like MKX - it will not get fixed.

Not really. My experience with 3 Denuvo games now have been full of stuttering when streaming in levels. Can't be a coincidence.

Performance? Sure. Stability? Not in a million years. That game was a buggy mess on PC, with game-breaking bugs, being trapped in objective rooms, loading into endless voids, etc

Wait, let me save you time. No, you don't. The human eye doesn't work like that. Go buy a 120HZ monitor and tell me there isn't a difference between 90fps and 120fps.

Unlock the 30fps in the ini and lock it with an external program.

I have only tried limiting the framerate with afterburner, other than the in-game lock. This doesn't seem to improve things. When there is a lot going on on screen it slows down noticeably.

I have to mention that it does look nice, when it works for a couple of minutes. However I also seem to be getting the LOD issues, that other people have. This would probably also be the case for the PS4 version though, I'd assume.

I have experienced 2 crashes in the game, during the short time I spent with it.
Apologies if this offends the masterrace, but I can't be arsed to deal with this, and given the option of a full refund I'm going with that.
I'll be back next year, meanwhile I'll stick to mainly ARK and Witcher 3 for my rig.

as far as i know the PS4 version is 30 fps with less effects than the pc version as usual. how on earth the ps4 version runs better ?

What people are pissed off here is problems when you unlock the fps to more than 30 fps. thats when shit hits the fans. At leasts that is what i understood reading this thread

Also, sooner or later an update will come to the pc version along with updated drivers. and the pc version as always will always come on top.

Guess I won't be playing until the first patch then....
 
Even though I'm on a 60hrtz monitor... Should I try capping the framerate higher than 60? Since you're all saying running it at 30 causes it to drop below 30, I wonder if my capping it at 60 is hindering it in a similar way...

Batman ports on pc have a history but they still run better than their versions on ps3 and xbox 360.

and mostly no game comes out without bugs. whatever on consoles or pc. you want the game to be buggy without patching it ?

i understand where you coming from that they already took your money. but it was your own fault you didn't wait to see how it performs before you buy the game assuming you already know there is a " history" of batman games going south on pc. just like the res tof us who didn't wait.

You got 2 options:
1- refund the game and wait till it get patched then buy it again
2- refund the game and buy the PS4/ xbox one version even though you know later on the PC version after patches will run much better than your Ps4 version.

personally i will be sticking with a 3rd option " kinda forced to it too" which is wait for a patch and not refund the game because i got it for 21$ "not 60$"

Can't say I've had issues with Batman games on PC up until this one but then again I didn't buy them at launch.

Cap it using external programs, not the INI.

I think we have a right to demand 60FPS among other technical improvements if we spend thousands of dollars on our machine compared to a $400 PS4.

I have both, I know what the PS4 is capable of . I know what my 980SLI Setup is capable of . If something horribly optimized it shows.

YouTube videos make terrible comparison videos due to compression. The game looks better on PC, even without the NVIDIA effects.

It shouldn't even be a debate though.

I didn't watch all these great looking pre release PC "gameplay" videos and then drop big cash on a 980ti for this game to then have to debate whether it looks better than the ps4 version or not.

Nevermind the 30fps and other issues the game has.

There isn't a debate. Where is anyone else saying the game looks better on PS4 compared to highest settings on PC?

WB seems to search for cheap studios for PC ports (High Voltage on MK even with High Voltage bad history with ports). but even if they want to save money WB could've just let Monolith Productions (Mordor PC version was top-notch) or WB Montreal do it instead of outsourcing it to a cheap studio with no history on PC ports.
 

They gave out PS4 Review copies and I haven't heard anything negative from the technical side.

We'll see though ,I'm getting my PS4 Collector's Edition shipped from the US , Pre-ordered it months ago.

Since the game runs like shit on my SLI-980s. My Hype for the game is already lost.

Linked in profiles at Iron Galaxy suggest they only handled steamwork integration for AC/AA, but did some coding in AO, which had the best PC performance of the three. According to steam packages, they did work on PC version but it's unclear how much.

I don't think Iron Galaxy is to blame yet.

WBI are always going to to blame. They published it and therefore it would have been subject to their publisher QA (and quite how things like this get through QA at all is a real mystery to me).

yeah it's unclear how much Iron Galaxy had to do with this, they have a decent track record so I'm not sure it's all their fault.
