Why is that awesome? It would have been on eShop no matter what.
They probably don't think it would sell very well as a retail title and don't want to put the resources into it. I'll buy it either way, even if I'd prefer a physical copy.
Are we really calling "noa failure" and "screw you noa" over this unconfirmed speculation?
There are plenty of other reasons to hate NoA right now, but this does seem to have a good line of logic and evidence to support the OP's claims.
The op is speculating due to the existence of an eshop logo but no box art
Better be some discount pricing, not paying $60 for a digital only title.
And NoA already not doing retail releases for games this year when they exist in other territories.
There's a "buy at the Nintendo World store" link at the bottom of the page.
I'm not sure that's the best thing to know right now, given the exclusivity they had for the LEs to Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors.
thus, the Canada Deals E3 Thread wept, for she who calls herself Maiden of Black Water, faded out of existence in disc form
and so did ohlawd, for he too would have liked the illusive Maiden at hand. With ever the fleeting touch, none may descend in the hell that is the blood forest
But for those who believe in the virtues of DAY ONE, will this stop them? nay, as this form of recourse is better than none at all
The op is speculating due to the existence of an eshop logo but no box art
this is one of few games i said id pay 69.99+ for day 0
People blame Nintendo but maybe, just maybe, retailers don't want to stock it because they know that they'll be left with a load of unsold copies because it's an M rated game on the bloody Wii U, but that's just a thought.
That'll show 'em.That's NOA for you. I'm still buying it but fuck you, NOA!!!
All precious? It's basically about owning the game versus not owning the game. Of all the digital marketplaces out there, the eShop is the one that is most likely to fold up and disappear over the next ten years. If you don't care about holding onto the game then that's fine but for those that do it's a real issue.I really hate buying digital games but I'll do it if I have no option here. It's a miracle that this is even coming out in the West, so I'd rather support stuff like this than get all precious about it not being in the format I want.
The amount of whining in this thread. It's a miracle that this game is even coming out in the west. Can you all act like adults for once? It would be a huge mistake for them to produce physical copies of a game that's already niche and being produced for a flop console.
That's NOA for you. I'm still buying it but fuck you, NOA!!!

Op Rainfall for a physical release of this and DT?
Then they should let Xseed or GS publish it for them like Operation Rainfall did last gen. Or worse case scenario, release the game in NA as a limited edition so they can make money on low sales.

You don't own anything on the eShop.

The fact that it has been so unsuccessful also leads me to believe that holding onto your digital Wii U titles over the long run won't necessarily be easy. What will happen in ten, fifteen, or twenty years? ...
I get that this sucks. I always by physical as well.
But would you really pass on a game if it was digital only? Seems rash.
Super niche game. Will sell 100 copies to the hardcore GAF-types.
I will never understand the demand for physical release when a game like this is pretty much guaranteed to be nothing more than a show of good will to the fans.
well there it is
ill still buy anyways, love the series
