Part of me wanted to get the PS4 version but why the hell would I reward them with another sale for what they did here? I waited patiently after the game got delayed, so I can wait again and just act like the game's not out yet instead of giving them even more money.

Maybe a small 3DS developer could be the next go-to studio for PC porting based on how WB handles this shit.

By the way, the update is like 368 bytes...

if I can get solid 30fps on my 2gig 680 when I get home im probably just gonna play through the thing tbh

thats where my expectations are now. givin up on total completion I just dont wanna get the thing spoiled

I have a 2GB 680 as well and it runs like dogshit. Massive stuttering, textures not loading in properly, framerate dips, etc...

Ahh, ok, my bad. Yeah, well they're right.

I can also see why some people would say the PC still looks better, given the effects and the better frame rate, especially on smooth segements of the video.

When you're actually playing and it stutters though, the smoke effects don't matter.

I really like the smoke effects (even though they're a wee bit exagerated) but holy crap the missing AO is mind boggling. The entire time I was playing the first 15 minutes, I kept thinking "Why does this look so off to me?"

A quick and dirty low res mobile video I took a minute ago showing how bad the stuttering is for me, all options on default at 1080p with nothing else running in the background. This is just after the intro.

14 seconds in is where it gets really bad. http://youtu.be/ybW6iTHzmuw

I know there's shit loads of complaints but is it this bad for most people?
I5 3570k

win 7

Get new AMD drivers, I had the same issue on R9 280 (i.e. 7950) but now the game is actually quite playable (sigh).

This post isn't by me, it's by a guy with the same username as me.

Man, this is awful. Now i'm reeealy glad i decided to pass on the GMG sale last night.

(i have the same config as you)

Missing AO and the rain effect on the Batmobile can be seen on the consoles but not the PC. Seriously how the hell do you fuck up this badly?

Pretty massive things to be missing tbh. THe game is constantly raining and AO has basically become the bread and butter of shading in engines these days.

Still a great game if you have a high end PC. Sounds like with memory leak you want more than 8GB RAM though, several people with 32GB like myself are having things smoother (not flawless but not bad)

Very sad state of affairs for people with a 970 not even getting PS4 performance.

32gb of RAM is not "high end", its "crazy person / I do video rendering for a living"-end

I've got 32GB of RAM and the game is an absolute stuttering mess on my 970. Dipping down to 20-27fps constantly when driving the batmobile.

I don't think it's a memory leak.

I have 8GB of DDR3 ram and played for 3 hours straight without any stuttering.

Really weird shit.

Yeah I mean versus PS4 the minimum spec seems to be a 980 Ti or Titan X.

970 cost same price at launch ($399) as the entire PS4 still costs. Not being able to match performance on a 32 GB system is nuts.

Hmm, I feel like performance is taking a hit as the game goes on, as the story has more things happening in areas. First 10 percent of the game, performance seemed okay at 1440p in the open world areas. Now it's getting hit pretty hard.

Messing around with settings it seems like Enhanced Rain isn't a big hit, but light shafts are. Paper and Smoke are too but harder to test since you have to restart everytime.

There's an instant crash when someone tries to view my Steam broadcast, every time :(

I think this is an OC related crash. I had it once and I could't even play other games afterward. Downclocking the OC and restarting fixed it and I haven't seen it since.

I'm not ovrerclocked at all. Stock 970 and 4790k clocks :(

I posted about some tests I ran here

It looks like a gigantic fucking mem leak.

my point is that you shouldnt expect any sort of game to require anything close to that

theres absolutely no reason for 32gb of RAM on a PC unless you do some serious work on it

As a software developer who runs multiple IDE's, databases and app servers I wouldnt buy a maachine with less going forward. Makes a huge difference (at the time I thought 32GB might be overdoing it)

For games, its not required - but it is nice that I can play a game without having to close all the background stuff I run (eg open IDE, servers running like MySQL/Tomcat etc)

If you get it let me know. That's just an automated email.

I got a reply back from a rep and they said they can't refund because they sent the product key out already even if you didn't use it.

Sickening. Hate that they treated the PC version this way. It might sell less, but it's still a damn port they released on. Shouldn't have bothered if they were going to go this route, or could have delayed it a bit.

well, yeah, youre proving my point

Played this on Windows 10 with everything on. It was fine until the opening Batmobile sequence and then everything went to shit. Graphics drivers crashed and then after finishing the sequence the game just crashed.

Having the game locked to 30 FPS is just icing on this shit sandwich.

Wow they've only had 8 weeks to port the game? That's ridiculous.

This is why I was saying its ultimately the publishers fault since they are the ones who are supposed to make sure development is smooth, QA is looking good etc.

In any project, budget has the most impact (both in time and money though they are closely related).

Publishers weights up the cost/benefit and probably didnt care so much about the PC versus the consoles - since they had already sent out PS4 reviews to all the review sites.

The good news if they had so little time is that its more likely it can be patched so lower spec machines can run the game smooth.

In that case if you paid full price on steam get a refund and either buy later or do the GMG deal.

Any one has encountered this problem?, a 264mb install size, and missing exe file on steam, verifying the files does nothing, if i uninstall, i get the 264mb download again :(

As Jasec have already said, they didn't get 2 months, but the ID was updated 2 months ago. They could have been working on for months before.
