Lol @ global concern
I don't think they've ever said that? They said it will launch alongside MGSV since it was announced.
Anyone buying MGS V for online is buying it for the wrong reasons
From what they have shown its looking like a nice addition to a predominately Single Player experience
This is not remotely close to being true. Ignoring the fact that the weapons are actually balanced, they didn't add dlc until MONTHS after the game was released. The Last of Us mp was barely talked about it and it turned out to have pay to win mechanics[many would argue at least] so they could be hiding something for MGS5 too.
Or maybe the online won't be quite ready at launch.
Was Metal Gear Solid IV's multiplayer actually any good? I think I only played it for a couple of minutes.
Like the campaign itself, I kept meaning to go back to it.
I think I'm just going to jump into V and play IV later. I'll borrow V from the library, and want to get it before anyone scuffs or dirties the disc.
Any part of a game that the publisher doesn't seem to care about advertising should illicit concern.
Konami should be trying to use MGO3 to ship copies, and the fact that they aren't is concerning. I have a feeling it's mostly because MGO probably won't ship with MGSV.
They probably don't have a team that can support it now that kojipro is gone.

It what now?A month from launch and still no details, no beta. Did they forgot to market it?
A successful online game needs regular patching and balancing, and a steady stream of contents. It could be konami it prints money cow. But KP is disbanding soon, so who is the team supporting Vonline?

It had upsides and downsides. Eventually I quit after running into one too many players who would run in circles and then inexplicably get a headshot on you before you could do anything. I still don't know what was up with that.

Why?, the base game is doing a fine enough job of that already.
Nobody that isn't interested in Phantom Pain is just going to pull a 180 because Konami dangles some multiplayer around, that's just silly.
The meat and bread of the game is the single-player and base building/invading.
I always saw MGO as more of a social "lets all screw around may the better man/team win" kind of deal.
Wow so there is global concern about this. Thread merge?
Yes they are, all of Kojipro are, come December.Konami LA (former Kojipro LA) has been making it and they are not going to be dissolved.

You sure, i thought i read when Kojipro had their contracts changed from full time employes to independent contractors, with their contracts ending in December, it included Koji L.A.Konami LA is not getting dissolved.

Farewell sausage?

Huh, ok. well, sorry about that.Only thing confirmed that is that Kojima changed to a contractor.
Kojipro LA was renamed at that time to konami LA.
Look through the OP of this post for more information http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1013350
and they are still hiring?
I'm getting GTAV Online vibes.
Huh, ok. well, sorry about that.
lol wow
i canceled my CE today as i felt it just wasnt worth it and as kinda an F U to konami
they were lagswitching for easy kills
Ah, well it was annoying and plagued every single one of those tournament event things, and eventually killed my interest in MGO. I hope MGSV has better countermeasures for that kind of thing.
Why does everyone keep asking this?
