Managed to get my preorder in 3 minutes before 12 lol, had psn balance for a while, since I started playing the witcher 3 on my pc my ps4 has been pretty much abandoned so this should be a nice game to change the scenery from the witcher once in a while

I was in the store (on PS4) 5-7 minutes before 12 and no button to order or pre-order.

Went to consider buying and pre-order disappeared for me 5 minutes early. No chance to buy early, I guess. Screw these post launch review embargos causing so much unecessary doubt and risk. I'll buy it half price or on PC.

Or for a fourth of the price during the Steam Winter Sale? In all honesty, the discount set up did a lot more harm than good. I can't pull the trigger before it releases without reviews, I would never pull the trigger now that I missed a sale, and by the time it's $15.99 I might as wait to see if it will ever be pennies.

Sorry, I know this guy probably got boned by having Skulls of the Shogun some sort of Windows 8 experiment too...and well...it being Skulls of the Shogun. That said, no indie is going to carry enough hype for me to go in for this nonsense. I guess they just went from $15.00 to $20.00 for this sort of title (and N++++) just so they can dick around with customers before the game ever releases.

Just when I think all is happy in PlayStation land, stupid stuff like this happens.

Edit: The game is back up for purchase, but for $19.99. Kinda odd that they wouldn't have that low price for a week after release or something like that, not to mention that I was in the store before midnight but couldn't purchase. Guess I'm waiting for a sale.

Jake Kasdal, founder of the studio, was on the Playstation Blogcast talking about about wanting to mess around with Morpheus for this game. I wonder if anything will come of it.

So I'm trying to buy the game, but the Store is not letting me buy it, either from my PS4 or from the webstore. I guess there's some sort of purgatory period between the pre-order period and when it's officially available?

Is the $15.99 price really only for pre-ordering? I had $6 and change in my wallet so I bought a $10 PSN code from Best Buy today so I could have enough to buy the game. Fuckin' Sony.

I went for n++, with risk, but it was mitigated by tons of streamers, tons of footage, and a previous well-reviewes game. No regrets there, but I was just as worried. This setup is definitely bad for business, though.

I think this speaks to a really poor valuation of entertainment, but to each their own.

I'm not sure what about the price point speaks about "dicking around with their customers" either.

Got home at 8:40 PDT, could not preorder on either store. gg Sony.

I swear I've seen a post like this in every PLAY thread.

You have like a month to preorder these games. Why you wait until the last minute is beyond me...

Sucks you couldn't get the discount but waiting 20 minutes before the unlock is silly.

You've never sat on the fence about something before, waiting to hear the most impressions before making a logical decision?

We would have loved to have had the reviews out before launch but with the Pre-order titles the codes only go live 24 hours before the game launches. We couldn't risk press outlets rushing through the game to get their review up in time with just one day, I wish we could have given them a week, its a dense, layered game that takes time to really understand.

Being an indie dev means making a ton of tough decisions every day, but we're hoping the extra time will give reviewers that much of a chance to really dig in and see how fun this game really is!

Understandable. Tbh this is one of those titles I don't really need a review to decide a purchase. That said, a PS+ discount for UK purchases would be nice. Seems like only the US is getting all these pre-order sales on top of PS+ discounts, and given we already pay more with the currency conversion, some deals this way would be much appreciated!

Except people waiting for these reviews, to make an informed decision, are now going to have to pay $19.99 if they want the game. This will definitely turn off many knowing it was on sale 20% off a day earlier. Seems like poor planning on Sony's end. It only punishes those who want to spend their money while well informed. Sorry for my conflicted viewpoint. Despite this, I even went to pre-order it, with 10 minutes to go, but couldn't. Disappointed, as I have followed your game since 2013.

Got to Sector 1-2 before needing to sleep. Not crazy about the character art and how fast the talking seems but that is purely personal preference. The game fun though and controls great. All that matters really.

I *really* wish we had more news on the EU launch as well, we are just waiting for final confirmation... Hopefully today?

I hope people do not skip this over $4. I understand the psychological effect behind it, but it the end, it's just four dollars.

Now that you missed the pre-order, wait for the reviews, see if the game is for you and then get it (or not) based on that.

I don't support review embargos that end after a game is out, it's the worst, but it doesn't seem like this was a decision made by 17-BIT so don't punish them for it.

That's what I'm doing. Based on the review, I'll decide if I want to wait and get it on PC instead.

Three missions in and we already have a Star Wars reference. This is going well.

I'm really enjoying it so far. Still getting a hang of combat though.

It's certainly an outdated view, but Summer of _____ games were seemingly 15 dollar affairs until current gen hit. Maybe I am thinking back to a time that never really existed in the way I'm remembering it, but the preorder discount here seemed like a nod to when the pricing hit a sweet spot. Except now to get that price, the consumer can't wait for post release talk or reviews to jump in. I watched a Giant Bomb quicklook this evening to decide. In it, there was a pretty serious glitch that required Brad to restart a game that has a pretty unforgiving save/progession system. Maybe the game is great, but I'm glad that was out there.

I'm sure the game is priced according what went into it, and this is probably more robust than those 15 dollar titles I remember. I can't help but feel like this discount is more to mess with me than it is to help me save money.

Game runs really well, but damn died on the 4th episode of a season and didn't know you lost like everything except blueprints.

We can argue if the game is expensive or not, if it's worth 15$ or 20$ but I think we all understand that both are the expected prices for this game, they are not charging you 60$. With that been said the only thing that matters is the game: Does this game interest me or not? Do I need more infk to maks my decision? Yes, I'll have to pay more but I don't think that anyone that have resolved to buy the game will backshift from buying it for just 4$. I don't think that someone that make a decision like that is interested in the game at all.

Wow, the controls are legit tough, learning curve is going to be hard, going to take some time to get used too.

yeah controls take some getting used to, but freaking too tired tonight to focus. Will stream it fully tomorrow, I have the day from work :D

Yea, controls look like they'd be hard to learn, but highly rewarding to master, which is what you want really.
