With August proving to be a quiet month for new releases Warner Bros’ ‘Lego Jurassic World’ (-8%) returns to the top to claim a third No1 crown.

‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-1%) climbs three places to No2. ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ (-21%) jumps a spot up to No3 forcing ‘Batman: Arkham Knight (-36%) down to No4 for the first time since its launch 8 weeks ago. Meanwhile ‘FIFA 15’ (-16%) is also up a place to No5. Last week’s chart topper ‘Rare Replay’ (-71%) slides to No6 while ‘Battlefield Hardline’ (-23%) is a non-mover holding No7 for the third successive week.

‘Minecraft: Xbox Edition’ (-1%) creeps up to No8 just ahead of ‘Minecraft: PlayStation Edition’ (4,420 / -4%), which also climbs two places to No9. ‘Dying Light’ (+23%) continues an impressive week on week sales push with retailer promotions propelling it back into the Top 10 at No10.

Not bad for RARE Replay, but it was always expected to hang on with virtually no competition to speak of.

Things should start to liven up in the next couple of weeks,

Should finally see some action again in the charts in two weeks time.

Should see some action next week. Disney 3.0, Dishonoured (although this will be dampened by the digital offer), Gears Ultimate and Until Dawn should give us some good times. Devils Third, Madden, Onechanbara and One Piece also come out, so will be interesting to see where they shake out too.

Can we got any estimations for Rare Replay sales now that it's no longer #1?

Not really. Only thing we now have numbers for is Minecraft: Playstation so all we can really say is that it sold more than 4,420 last week.

EDIT: Brunos educated guess below is probably the best idea we could get.

Yea though next week will have dishonored remastered (and Disney 3.0) and the week after Gears Ultimate edition.

Then we get into September and its gonna be metal gear territory...

Rare Replay has to be very close to Minecraft: PlayStation Edition which sold 4,420. Let's assume that it sold around 5,000 units this week, this would put its first week sales at around 17,000 units.

[Week 32, 2015] 01 (NE) RARE REPLAY (MICROSOFT) > 15,241 / NEW
[Week 33, 2015] 06 (01) RARE REPLAY (MICROSOFT) > 4,420 / 19,661 (-71%)

Large drop off but it'll end up in a lot of gamers hands because I imagine it'll be one of the games that retailers will bundle heavily for Xmas.

Obviously MGSV will be number 1 in 2 weeks with PS4 leading, but I'm more interested in seeing Mad Max. It's likely number 2, but launching on the same day as MGS might really take the attention away.

I noticed something: Halo MCC is no longer in top 40. How is that possible? It's bundled with every XBO, no?

EDIT: Thanks Bruno! Now we just need to know the upper bound for Rare Replay.

The volume required to be number 1 this week is comedy low

Ouch!

Depends where you look, Game doesn't appear to be offering many MCC bundles (the most competitively priced are either solo or feature random games), but Amazon have at least one.

Seems MS might be phasing it out in favour of a new bundle? Gears perhaps?

You can already pre-order new Forza 6, FIFA 16 and Halo 5 bundles, so that's probably the reason yeah.

Happy to see a lot of new people potentially getting the chance to play Banjo-Kazooie :).

Yea I hope Mad Max does well, getting it over MGSV myself (need to play through the older metal gear games before getting into 5).

So it's first (individual) with like 5k sales? Wow, I knew august sales are slow, but I thought the first place should still have at least >10k sales.

One game that still amazes me is Dying Light. Really good performance for a new IP that launched back in January while something like Witcher 3 is only hanging on with one platform. New DLC is probably going to help stretch those legs a little further as well.

Dying Light has been heavily discounted in August, you can pick it up for under £25. I was in GAME at the weekend and they had a counter display for it for £25, probably promote it again for the coming DLC. I bought it a couple of weeks ago for £22, loving it so far.

It's only really a retail drought. There's plenty of new digital offering available, would be fascinating to see them incorporated in the charts.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to the digital/retail charts MCV were doing?

That goes without saying doesn't it? I'm talking specifically about the retail charts here, since it's a retail charts thread.

Shit, it is 2 weeks isn't it. Damn, was really thinking it was next week.

Still, Disney will probably beat them both.

How well did previous Infinity games do?

I've really kept track of them. Is there something special about this release? Star Wars and Marvel?

Marvel was in the last one, so I think Star Wars is the draw. But it's not a huge seller, just coming out on so many formats should do it for it. Only lost out to Destiny last year.

Ah, okay.

Never really paid attention to it before, but it might be worth keeping an eye on it see how it does with the Star Wars draw.

Haven't seen anything, granted I've only watched the football on TV.

Art gallery near me still has this up for several years, so the "brand" is still out there.

I just wanted to post it because it's awesome still.

That looks amazing!

Chart is fake. There is no THE ORDER in it. I have on good authority the ORDER was the real #1 last week.
