A lot of things don't make sense here.

- She's wearing that short skirt and those heels at McDonald's...?
- Everyone else is wearing proper attire + good shoes
- Boss wasn't happy about the attention, yet she can wear that outfit?
- She seems to actually pose for the photos
- Why would anyone work in a hot kitchen and not wear protective pants?
- She's allowed to serve food/stay there without at least a cap or net over her hair?
- Her "candid" photos look photoshopped

Nice try, Taiwan. I'm on to you!

A lot of this comes down less to the 'everything is a conspiracy' mentality that the internet has developed recently and probably more due to different places have different food and hygiene standards

Cute girl but not my type, not a fan of heavy make-up and very skinny bodies.

Strange that McD is cool with having this kind of sexy marketing in a restaurant. Custom uniform, really? C'mon Ronnie... it's not a local store, don't they have a global standard regarding employees?

It's ok to be jealous!

Yeah, because women are saints, right? Remember the case of this guy?

Nooo, I'm just sad it might be a hoax!
(If you ignore the creepiness it brought out in people)

Probably way more acceptable there than here, and then there is the part where they wore those maid outfits too (I think she looks a lot cuter in the normal skirt :3)

This is hilariously creepy.
Hilarious because people are crowding this restaurant to see her.
Creepy because she looks and talks like a 12 year old.

I just don't get it. Why? There are pretty women everywhere, stop being creepy for the sake of the rest of us.
NO!! I will be the only Senpai in her eyes.

She is cute. Her hair looks perfect, lol.

I don't know if she is enjoying the fame or not. Taking pictures without her knowing is creepy but if she is okay with that I won't judge it.

The block quote mentions both that she's been on tv and 'doesn't seem to mind' the attention. Sounds like she's having fun.

The only people who seem to be upset are the people who are falling for the bait of the article and her manager who is missing out on sweet profits while people who come to see her aren't wolfing down burgers in the hopes they can lose weight and impress her.

In China the staff that manage the dining area have a different uniform than the ones that work behind the counter. Pink blouse, short skirt and low heels. They are there to greet customers, clean tables and general, customer service. At busy times they can also work behind the counter. I think Taiwan will have a similar dress code for this role.

Ok calling her Lolita makes this incredibly more creepy than this already is.

Like some have said, Lolita means slightly different things in Taiwan and Japan.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolita_fashion
One follower of the Gothic Lolita fashion explained:

We certainly do not do this for the attention of men. Frequently, female sexuality is portrayed in a way that is palatable and accessible to men, and anything outside of that is intimidating. Something so unabashedly female is ultimately kind of scary – in fact, I consider it to be pretty confrontational. Dressing this way takes a certain kind of ownership of one's own sexuality that wearing expected or regular things just does not. It doesn't take a lot of moxie to put on a pencil skirt and flats. It's not, as some commentators have suggested, some sort of appeal to men's expectation that women should be childlike, or an attempt to pander to pedophiles. Pedophiles like little girls. They don't like grown women who happen to like dresses with cakes on them. I've never been hit on by a pedophile while in Lolita. We don't get into it because it is some sort of misplaced pedo complex or anything, and the objective isn't simply to emulate little girls, despite the name Lolita.

An employee at a McDonald's in Taiwan has recently become the object of the Internet's increasingly creepy affection, thanks to some candid photos.

Talking about people being creepy doesn't make you look less creepy, Mashable.

If I were a NeoGAF admin, I'd forward the IP address of everyone who said "she looks 10" to the FBI.

This is my favorite post of this thread. Trying to turn the tables on who's being creepy, and not making a lick of sense in the process. "No u!"

To me, she does look like a 14 year old girl. And an unnatural one at that. A 14 year old creation based on a comic book or cartoon. And I find that creepy as hell.

However (and I'm serious here) I am a gay man, and perhaps I don't really notice the differences and nuances between what makes a girl a girl (=not sexually attractive), and a woman a woman (=sexually attractive), that heterosexual men do. The "nice legs" comments I understand, the "cute face" comments I don't.

Saying she's ugly is totally more acceptable than saying she's cute. :V

GAF is a hell of a place.

And how did this girl become a target in this thread? She's become an internet star unexpectedly and people here are calling her ugly, saying she looks like a creepy robot (wtf?), and saying completely seriously that she looks 10 years old (wtf?). You almost think that people are trying to overcompensate with extreme reactions in the opposite direction as a response to her fame from people thinking she is attractive.

Also lots of diet racism in this thread.

Welcome to the Internet where human nature and herd mentality is present everywhere.
Sit back and enjoy the ride, view from afar, study them and write a thesis.

She's cute. But aside from the creep factor of men ogling, I just find it dumb that men talk about it and form online fan clubs and crap. What's there to discuss?

When I see a beautiful girl, I think "she's beautiful" and move on. But there's always that type of guy who's like "Wow, she's hot! Did you see how hot she is? Let's talk about how hot she is!" Hate that kind of man.

I'm pretty sure those guys are either virgins or just people who are in a severe sexual drought. In other words, they're guys who can't move on.

Then again, I live in NYC where there are hot girls literally everywhere. In fact, one just passed by my office as I was typing this and it's really not a big deal.

She still looks like the typical Asian girl who is well versed in the use of makeup and enlarging contacts.

Because she's an adult and plenty of young Asian men and women look as young as her. This is a story about young men in Taiwan finding a young woman attractive. There's nothing wrong with her or men finding her attractive. The only creepy part are the people who went there and took pictures of her.

What you're saying is ignorant at best and could be a lot worse.

This is my favorite post of this thread. I love how you belittle and insult women who look younger in appearance, that's so considerate of you. I also love you try to play off your disgusting viewpoint that she looks like a ten year old or a cartoon character by saying you're gay, because apparently that makes it look to insult women for their appearance.

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
Looks like a real doll. Kinda creepy looking.
