Really tough call between Marie and Rachel. Rachel is sexy, but Marie makes me laugh and is awesome to play as. That said, she'd be in a bathing suit the whole time, sooo.... Rachel it is. I also don't find Hitomi attractive but as my main who has carried me to many victories I'm obliged to vote for her. Just keep Tina and Lisa out of both versions and we're good. Lisa maybe, but Tina is 100% verboten.

There is no way Phase-4 will be a character, there is also no way Honoka will be left out for obvious reasons.

Nice. PS4 exclusivity for home consoles isn't surprising, and Vita is also a good choice when you see userbases in Japan. Separating the two versions is the best decision as well.
For PC, I don't feel too bad, seeing how the LR port would indicate they'd rather port the Vita version...

Despite Hayashi being an evil genius with that theme sale / popularity contest idea, won't buy more than one due to the "adjusted" part of a possible western version.
Pretty stupid as well to put only 9 girls from start, and not at least allow the others to be playable thanks to DLC. Rest of the Famitsu translation sounds really good for now.

They need to make that transition to PS4 as they started with DOA5LR (for various reasons).
Vita has 4 millions users in Japan and will still be on life support for a while in Japan, and they're probably waiting for NX to have more users before transitioning there as well. They just want an healthy userbase that could buy their DLC, pretty reasonable.

The X situation has already been explained several times, nothing else to know that it's dead in japan and that the audience for DOA in the west is mainly on PS4 this time (was complicated last gen).
For PC though, it's not really about modding (look at DOA5) or possible audience, but they (TN and KT) still have no real experience in doing good PC ports, and after months, still don't get how to fix the PC version of DOA5. They just won't waste time on a PC port for a game that sells typically a lot less than their main series.
I'm sure they would be ok with another company doing the port, but won't happen.

Leifang is almost certainly going to make it. Not sure about Helena but there is more chance of her not making the cut imo.
