Just to snipe down the 5% of people who were holding onto a glimpse of hope.

M: Is a PC release impossible?

J: Depends...do you have ready access to an infinite improbability drive?

Atlus Japan has pretty old school thinking. Looks like they weren't swayed at all by Square Enix's PC support, Sega's PC support (the owners!), or NIS's pledge to support PC in the future.

All right, post your grief here where Atlus Japan can feed off of your despair, or mock Atlus while Tecmo Koei ports their entire library over in a year, or something.

Too bad. I'll get the PS4 version of course but it could have been even better on PC. >= 1080p, downsampling, >= 60 FPS, etc.

I'm convinced that this game would sell a TON on PC.

EDIT: Either Atlus doesn't see enough profit potential in a PC release or there might be some incentives from Sony to keep it locked down to their platforms. Or maybe both.

I'm not sure I understand why it's so "improbable". Then again, I imagined Persona 5 would've been multiplatform but it's Playstation-only.

lol

How many Atlus games release on PC, especially Persona? Come on.

I'm so used to playing this on PlayStation I wouldn't even play it on any other platform, tbh. It'd feel way too weird.

Yeah, this game is most likely locked down by Sony.

After seeing so many people on GAF going PC for Tales of Zestiria, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony have changed their tune with regards to just console exclusivity of late.

Sega games on PC are "infinitely improbable"?

Well, games for PC from Sega's division come from Sega Europe's squad.
So Sega Japan has to take initiative to the hardliners at Atlus Japan and ask them to hand off the code. Seems about as likely as me winning the lottery.

Atlus has always been behind the times. See e.g. also their stances on dual audio or region locking.

Yeah, Atlus Japan lives in a bubble. They're not the only guilty ones, but they should become not guilty.

EDIT: Probably doesn't help that their bubble is enforced by Atlus USA though lol

I dont understand the fact they're the only part of that whole set up that doesn't, really.

Also: dual audio is the cartels problem. It's 201X, we should know this.

I will still foolishly holdout hope that one day I will be able to own all the Personas on one system. They might be the last , but once every other Japanese developer is making money from the PC I think Atlus will wise up. Until then Persona 5 on the PS4 it is.

I'm not really surprised by this, even if it's disappointing to hear.

Technically, you can own all the mainline installments on the Vita right now. :p

Also technically, there *IS* a port of Persona 1 on PC.... >_>;
