Don't forget HexaDrive and M2, the latter still being the king.Bluepoint should be the only studio allowed to do remastered games.
Still laughing at calling it 'Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection' as well as having Uncharted 4 beta access. Sony showing Microsoft how to release a remaster collection (Yes I know it's no multi-player which was most likely the reason for the majority of the issues with MCC). Still, solid showing by Bluepoint yet again.
Looks amazing.
Too bad Bluepoint didn't handle the Halo remasters.
They need to get motion blur in there since there's no way it's a locked 60fps across all three games.

Gow remake had all the improvements as wellDamn, this seems to be Bluepoint's most ambitious project yet. Most of their past remasters are only improved in frame rate and resolution, but with this one, it feels more like a remake based on the article. Higher res textures, good level of AF, higher res shadows, better lighting and upgraded character models. And with a resolution increase to 1080p and frame rate boost to 60FPS. Bluepoint really did a wonderful job with this one.
P.S. Great article, darkx10.
Because console wars. Then why even bring it up?
What's wrong with the Halo remasters technically?
The big question I have is whether they've improved the actual gameplay in Uncharted 1. If it plays more like the sequels then it will be almost a whole new game.
And you know this how
Unless I'm remembering it wrongly, GOW HD Collection only got a boost to 720p and a more stable 60FPS with screen tearing eliminated. Also, 2x MSAA was implemented. Aside from that, I don't remember any other improvements. Please correct me if wrong.Gow remake had all the improvements as well

And if U2 has slight framerate drops, you can bet 3 will have more.
I hate how this studio "cleans" things up. Looking at that warzone comparison hurts.
Seems like the PS3 version has more grittiness too it. PS4 version looks a little too clean as if the buildings weren't built that long ago.
- Nate's shirt is more detailed
Remasters can improve technically by a significant amount in a short amount of time. I bet the framerate will be much steadier than in that video when in combat sequences.
Like he said the game is still in development and could see improvements.

Actually, no, this is a remaster. What DF mean is that it's more than just a 'port' which other recent 'remasters' have been.
I hope they leave it out, that effect is mostly needed on 30fps games, at 60 is not really necessary plus it looks hideousWe'll see. They still need to get motion blur working.

The MGS HD collection was pretty standard, too, for the most part. Peace Walker got some special attention as it was originally a PSP game, but 2 and 3 are just simple framerate and resolution boosts (3 unfortunately misses out on certain things from the original and suffers some framerate/slowdown problems).
What's so different about the gameplay in U1? It has more of this "chest-high walls" design than the sequels, but apart from that?
They do have an impeccable record, don't they?Bluepoint should be the only studio allowed to do remastered games.
