Dragon Age: Inquisition - Trespasser |OT| Loyal bands and murderous hands

I really don't know what they were thinking. I'd agree it was mediocre, but I still quite enjoyed it for what it was (I was aware of what it was going to be and I enjoyed it more than expected as a result).

Did you play Jaws of Hakkon?

And yeah, so glad views of this are positive. I could have lived without the other two, even if I did enjoy Jaws, but this looks like something I can't really miss.

Yeah, I've gone through all the DLC for DA:I. I liked Jaws of Hakkon more than The Descent; while I appreciated Descent's more straightforward and streamlined approach, the narrative (only two characters!), the limited scope and the repugnant end soured me on it. Jaws of Hakkon followed on the base game's fetch-questy style, but it had more interesting characters and boss fights. Once again, glad to see Trespasser seems to fix these issues.

You goofed somewhere or there's a bug. He's supposed to stay if
Tal-Vashoth

The Iron Bull situation is entirely dependent on his final crisis conversati
on. You have to make sure that he knows hes both TalVashith now, but that's OK.
Was that decision in the base game? I don't recall...

I just know I saved his Chargers, hell, they were all there, having drinks etc at the beginning in the Winter Palace bar area, we were talking and everything was great lol.
That's why I was so shocked when it happened.

not me
I haven't started this as I want to finish MGSV first but, there are marriage scenes? Oh dear, I better prepare for some bitch crying.

Approval levels in the base game count too.

Cullen or Sera. Cassandra will tell you to propose after the Council is over and they're together in the epilogue but they don't show the marriage for her.

Now THAT was one hell of a DLC! It was wonderful to catch up with all the companions again and getting DA4 all set up.

The ending I got and the character endings were:

I chose to
vow to change Solas and I disbanded the Inquisition

Cassandra reformed the seekers
Varric restored Kirkwall to its glory and is now their leader
Blackwall travels the world basically being a therapist
Iron Bull and the chargers travel around being Heroes and restoring peace
Sera is leading the Red Jenny and is basically making her own mini inquisition. She also is in a relationship with Dagna.
Cole fell in love with the bard in the tavern and lived happily ever after.
Dorian is leading a rebel group in Teventer and will more than likely be important in the next game.
Vivienne is still salty and is leading her own Circle against the College of Magi.
Leliana is still Divine and is making good change
Josephine returned home to help her family.

As for Cullen and my Quizzie they got married, adopted a dog, and retired to live a simple farm life together.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Haakon. One if the best boss fights in the Dragon Age series, plus easily the best location (revisitabke zone) in any Dragon Age game

As for returning characters:
I don't think we're going to have any Inquisition characters come back as party members. Specifically the Inquisitor stabbed at Tevinter because they need people who Solas is wholly unfamiliar with (something he/she'd find in the Imperium and among Tal-Vashoth)- playing as Inquisition's cast accomplishes the exact opposite effect.

I haven't played it but can anyone tell me if there's any resolution with
Solas
?

There really isn't a way for me to say either way without spoiling it in a big way. You'll get some level of closure with him sure. How you want to take it is up to you.

I don't mind being spoiled, as I don't think I'll have a chance to play this, considering my original 100+ hour playthrough got lost. I don't think I can go through another long playthrough either.

Does an atheist bear shit in the Christian woods then post about it in r/atheism?

yes

Spill it!

Solas is the Dread Wolf, he created the veil to punish and seal the "elven gods" who were just slave-owning mages. The consequence is that it destroyed the elven empire which relied on magic, he regrets this and now aims to remove the veil entirely which will destroy the world and may or may not actually restore the elves. You can either tell him you're going to try to redeem him or that you'll stop him at all costs. I chose the latter.

Is this when Varric tricked her into thinking you'd propose? Cause I don't remember her saying to propose after the council, I thought she said sometime later.

Hey Shinobi, with Cass as the Divine how much does her romance change in Trespasser? Also I assume her letter in the beginning is different.

It's not that different honestly. You still get the same
proposal scene
. The epilogue still shows them making time for each other when possible.

"When this is over."

edit: As for Solas vs Lavellan, there's actually a pretty interesting parallel:
Solas seeks to restore the elves by tearing down the veil and killing everyone in the process. Clan Lavellan can help the elves by taking seats on and eventually leading the Wycome City state as a progressive step towards a better future for elves in Thedas.

No problem. The game presents the
"I'll kill you"
option as being too antagonistic. Your protag just says they'll
"stop you no matter what/ at any cost"
which is hardly out of character for a nice/diplomatic Inquisitor.

mark darrah confirmed on twitter a few days ago that they would try and get all of the music from the three DLCs available for download, some of the pieces in trespasser really elevated it, would very much like to have them.

Yeah I just saw that too. Hopefully it pans out since the music that plays in your final conversation is amazing.

Dorian will play a big part pity my Inquisitor won't be able to take part in any fighting.

I ended up with the same ending
Didn't see anything about the Sera and Dagna relationship

I have been playing the game on and off for the last 10 months, now that I have finished finally took the disc out of the drive for the first time since the Black Emporium dlc. I feel empty now and can't decide what to play next.

Speaking of the divine mine was Vivienne and
she turned out to be a surprisngly decent one. She allowed the rebel mages to form their own mage society and is working alongside them. Maybe because I was so nice to her or something

Days later, I can't even listen to that last piece in the DLC without a wave of feelings.

The music is so great!

Just got a PS4 the other day, and I'm looking forward to Inquisition soon! What order should I play the main game and the rest of the DLC?

I think the first 2 dlc is scaled to your current level when you enter, so that doesn't matter too much. I think you get some extra dialogue if you do it after you beat the main game.

However, the last DLC is post-game only.

I bought all three DLCs. Aeryn Lavellan is ten hours in. I am hype.

I am also a long-time vet of BSN and whatnot, so avoiding all the Trespasser spoilers over the next few weeks is gonna eat away at me. On that note, SEEYA.

The best part about BSN and Trespasser is how the
Solas deserves to die
thread is literally 9-10x larger than the
Solas deserves to be saved
thread.

Can you explain this more?

Also I am so freaking excited for the next game. I love when they go lore deep.

Yeah I have to admit I don't think my character even had that conversation at all but it still worked out well. Not really sure how it can be entirely dependent on it if that's the case?

LOL

I got Masked Empire in the mail today. Almost done with the first chapter. This might convince me to play an elf and romance Solas.

Hi guys, quick question; the recommended level when you start the dlc is 20 but my party is lv 18. Can I just power through or should I level up my crew a bit more first?

Depends on the difficulty you're on. Sareebas have the potential of fucking your shit up pretty bad. Bioware wasn't playing when it came to their Hakkon recommendation.

Do you think we'll be playing the as the Inquisitor in DA4?

Emphatic no.
Inquisitor specifies why in Trespasser itself. Solas knows them all too well, they need people and cultures he's unfamiliar with. Also, same lead defeats the purpose of this series.

She said, if I recall, that
She'd like it but maybe later and that she's sure it'll be romantic as hell

So while no confirmation in this game I'm sure it'll be mentioned in da4 in some conversation
They damn well better mention it! Ugh, it's gonna such a long wait till 4, hopefully they use the time well.

Mm, well I'm glad I didn't get her as divine. Does it even do the same "Cassandra rebuilds the seekers"?
"When this is over."
Yea, this is what I remember.
