Hope Rlan is doing alright and gets back on his feet quickly. He's been a great member of this community since forever.

Anyone still have a promo code for The Sequence they can send me? Spacechem is one of my favorite games of all time and would love to play anything that's even remotely similar and as good as it.
I'm sorry, only had 4 codes to share

I'd recommend checking out Perfect Paths. That and this upcoming game The Sequence are similar to SpaceChem. The former has you merging and moving objects to reach endpoints, but you only need to do it once to complete a level.

While The Sequence is more about learning how to use your toolset and making a looping solution.

That's alright. I'll probably buy The Sequence when it releases if I hear good things about it since it looks more interesting than Perfect Paths to me.

the Sequence had me right from the start with the loading thing (dont want to spoil), this game exhumes style all over it and the concept is simpler than what I thought it was, and works very well making it something quite unique for puzzlers. And the art style is great to me. I will happily keep this one installed and complete it. Thanks M_B

I really can't wait to play Lara Croft Go when I get my 6S.

I really can't wait to play Lara Croft GO when they fix the GameCenter crash I am having, why are they taking so long?

Do you have over 200 GC friends? If you do and you cut it to under 200,it fixes the problem. I've had the same issue with another game a while back but crept back over 200 again. Not sure if I'd count on a fix from SE.

I have like 260 something GC friends but I dont want to delete, I want more... lol

Anyone reading this with iOS, add me on GameCenter: )Frost(

And yes, Square Enix has some of the worst post launch support for games I ever seen, that's why I never buy games from them except the usual exception like LC GO. Will probably skip GC for this one and complete it since it takes almost a gigabyte.

I cant have just a folder with one app inside, instead I will have them out on the homescreen...

Oh those all used to be filled with multiple titles. Spring Cleaning wiped most of them out when I took a close look at how many of the games I was actually playing. The folders will get repopulated again over time.

There's seems to be quite a bit of hubub surrounding that new shmup Starseed: Origin from Crescent Moon

Crescent Moon has had a pretty spotty track record the past few months. Kinda vanished for a while, which was weird. I used to consider them as such an integral iOS publisher

I grabbed it and can tell you that Starseed does indeed live up to the hype. Great retro shmup with electronic renditions of alternative and metal songs to go along with it. Cool spinning backgrounds, bullet grazing combos -- just awesome. Only negative -- it's not universal. BUT I have to say this is the first iPhone only game that still looks fantastic and doesn't feel like the 2X mode.

CM has actually published quite a few games in the last year or two - - mostly work of other devs. Unfortunately, Exiles really did put a dent in their reputation. And while I still think Deer God has a lot of artistic value and merit, the bugs it had didn't help either. CM did not develop that game, just published it, but it was by far their most visible game ever with it launching as a Games With Gold on Xbox One. I know they are working hard with the devs on fixes.

Josh from Crescent Moon is one of the most honest and easiest to talk to dev/publishers I've ever met and even he admits Exiles was handled very poorly.

I'm beta testing a few games in their pipeline, including Aralon 2, and believe me when I say that Josh is very adamant against having an Exiles repeat and won't let Forge and Flame release until he really feels comfortable with it.

They have had ups and downs but I still have the utmost respect for Crescent Moon. Aralon itself was one of the first games to even attempt to do a massive Elder Scrolls-ish RPG on mobile.

On a completely unrelated note, anyone who had an issue with Halo:Spartan Strike's controls may want to give it another shot.

Microsoft just released a big update that includes cloud saves, sensitivity sliders and FIVE alternate control schemes.

I personally had no issues with the controls but I know many felt that were overly sensitive so hopefully this slider alone will help.

Good to see MS listening to feedback instead of just resting on the Halo namesake with no updates.

Edited: To add a few Starseed imps.

Anyone who likes card games with a more straightforward solitaire approach might want to checkout Dungeon Solitare Escape. It's nothing mind blowing but it's a very polished game and currently free. The goal is to escape the dungeon rescuing the princess. To do so you must pass through 10 rooms with 16 levels each.

Starts with straight Solitare then adds goals to pass levels from solving the game in a minute to getting a set number of chains in a row.

For point-and-click adventure fans, Wadjet Eye's Blackwell 1: Legacy is on sale for GET.

The rest of the series is discounted, too.

Ohh Wadjet Eye.

While we are at it please consider getting Gemini Rue. Amazing game.

Anyone know some good pocket style RPG that is phone friendly? By pocket style as in something that isn't too action oriented

Also are there any point and click crime investigation game that doesn't rely on energy IAPs?

jon bones

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
the Sequence is really great, such a solid puzzler

IOS 9 officially coming later today. At least one feature (Slide Over) works on iPad Mini 2, so that's cool

slideview.gif

Yeah, just read that. I thought all of the new multitasking things were going to be for Air 2 and the new Pro.

But looks like we get Slide Over and Picture in Picture. Only thing we don't get is complete Split Screen.

Pretty cool. Also liking the fact that it sounds like we'll get an extra 3 GB for games since iOS 9 is much smaller (1.3 GB vs 4.58 GB). More space for games? I'm definately down for that.

This may be the first iOS I download on day one.

Oh, the Mini 2 gets PiP too? Awesome. Hope the YouTube app gets updated to support it

Yup, it works!
"Slide Over and Picture-In-Picture multitasking requires an iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, or iPad Mini 4."

iOS 9 seems like a great release. I can't wait ton install a content blocker, to have apps with app thining, to get my multitasking back (I tried the beta briefly, and on the Air 2 it's awesome), to have that sweet PiP and to get some improvements in speed:

Plus I loved the new trackpad, it's really useful!

Should make for a really exciting update!

NZ releases are no longer happening at 00:00 NZ Time. Instead, you should look for them at midnight AU time. Don't know why, but it's been like that for a few months now.

That (the sequence gif) looks a lot like the excellent SpaceChem precursor Codex of Alchemcal Engineering, will check out. Am I the only one who got deeply into SpaceChem but is not feeling Perfect Paths?

So Super Happy Fun Block is really good so far. Controls are responsive, and the hand-drawn art style is really charming

The puzzle mechanic is simple (swap between red & blue realities), but I can see how it can get really tricky, due to precise timing or switching to pass through obstacles, or avoiding enemies.

Definitely worth checking out

Ah ok, thanks, I will look what time is midnight AU where I live :)

New Gravity Duck from Ravenous tonight

nice, feels like forever since they've last released a platformer

They are doing a PC game for Steam, but in the mean time they developed this... I liked the first one and this seems to be a lot better, so I expect it to be awesome. First buy.

Second thing I am buying. Thanks for the impressions, looks great. I see there is a yellow cube as well so maybe you can discover.... yellow? Dont know, will find out myself.

The iOS 9.1 update is out, but everytime I click download and install and agree to the terms, it switches to "Update Requested" then back to "Download and Install" and repeats the steps all over again.

Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: Now I'm just getting an "Update Failed" message when I try.

I'm playing through a couple SE and Capcom games so I guess I should hold back on updating my phone to iOS 9.

I already did the upgrade it on my iPad last week with the GM though, I think I'll install the games I'm playing there to see if they're at least booting normally.
