Seein this thread again 
So I was playing Tomodachi Life for a couple of minutes today. Checked everything, got the donations, then I clicked the news. Iwata was getting a monument built in his honor. It's that one news segment about the island's version of Mt Rushmore but with that one mii's face if anyone remembers. Yeah

And so one month has passed since Mr. Iwata left us.
Just a reminder to remember him and that he passed away. Still feels very strange.
Because you should remember and mourn the dead while giving each other power. Pretty stupid post.

...yep, still a huge bummer.
You know, I was just thinking of the Layton Rumor in Smash, and what that Direct would be like. I still couldn't think of anyone else hosting the Direct but Iwata. I guess it still hasn't completely sunk in for me yet. It might take an Iwata-less Direct or two for that to fully happen.

At first I was saddened being reminded of Iwata's passing wit this thread, but I'm glad I saw it. I'm definitely getting a copy of that magazine and poster. Such a great tribute to an amazing man.

Yeah, he was 22 in the picture. Really young to be designing a game. Admittedly I don't agree with all his design decisions but I honestly think the man is a genius/prodigy when it comes to game design.
I'm sure having a genius programmer for a boss helped too though. RIP.
What a great picture. What's up with his shoes? Were they asked to wear clean shoes/slippers on stage or something? Was he the inspiration for David Tennant's Doctor? lol

Going back and looking at all those pictures in the first post brought back all the emotions I experienced all those days after. I didn't even get much time to mourn for Iwata as a month later my grandmother got in a car accident and died. Life has felt very fragile for me since then, the world a darker place. However, playing Super Mario Maker has brought some happiness back. It reminds me of what Iwata wanted. Games to be fun. That is the gift he left for us.
People got too demanding and Evilore got pissed and cancelled it.
