This game boggles me. So much pre-release hype only to die on release. Serious question. Can this game be salvaged ( patches, updates, free more modes)? Is the gameplay redeemable? Destiny came back with a vengeance. I hope this don't kill turtle rock.
It's 10 bucks at gamefly. How much dlc did this even have?
i.e. this didn't sell as well as we wanted, so we're going to repackage everything, throw in some DLC, and hope someone unwittingly picks this up for Christmas. Perhaps we can recoup some of the costs.

I agree, this game really should've went the f2p route.I can't imagine it will be successful. Too many better options this fall. And way too expensive.

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2015-03-11-take-two-very-pleased-with-evolve-salesSpeaking at the Piper Jaffray Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Conference today, Take-Two president Karl Slatoff said the company is happy with that performance. His comments also suggested that the game's extensive downloadable content plans have been well received commercially.
"When we first picked up Evolve... our instincts told us we had something really special," Slatoff said. "And as the game evolved--I guess the pun is sort of intended--but I think our instincts have proven out right. We're very pleased. We've had an incredibly successful commercial launch with Evolve. We're very happy where things are going, particularly on the digital side. Digital has been very strong for us, not only with full game downloads but also the attach rate for our season pass has been very strong. I'm not going to give you specific numbers but we're very pleased with those. So I would say in general, Evolve has been a fantastic experience for us and we're very pleased with it."

"As you know, Evolve is very multiplayer focused, and that's worked for people--we've had something like 27 million game sessions played," Zelnick said. "And we've sold-in over 2.5 million units. We're really happy with where it's going. It isn't 10 million units...yet. But it is an important franchise for us.
"I think we come out of that experience reminding ourselves we have to have a strong single-player opportunity. But we knew that about Evolve," he added. "We think we've developed another permanent IP. But if there were something lacking, I would say it would be that it was probably a bit too multiplayer-focused, which we knew all along."
Zelnick previously referred to Evolve as a "key long-term franchise" for the company.
"Our goal is to try to create permanent franchises, that's the unique goal in the industry," he said back in 2013. "Our competitors do not see it that way. Our competitors' view is that our franchise will have a certain life, and at the end of that life, you move onto the next thing, so you better make hay while the sun shines. Our view is to the contrary. The best franchises are permanent franchises. Outside of our business you can look at James Bond, for example."

Still using those "best of show" awards from before the game's release when the press hyped it to high heaven I see. Nice...
Is this supposed to be an evil practice or something? Games that sell well do the same thing.
Anyone still play this?
All those E3 awards, man
What if we already have Evolve and only want Edition?
They sure better treat a sequel right if they get one.Zelnick previously referred to Evolve as a "key long-term franchise" for the company.
60??? That has to be incorrect. No way they would price a dead game like that. Right?...
Right???............
