I watched first few chapters of Japanese version, camera angles looked pretty much the same.
Seems like they only changed 2 things in localized version: replace costumes and remove boobs jiggle.

Limited Edition was just dispatched from the Nintendo store. Earlier than expected, should have the game a few days before release here.

I tried to move like crazy in first chapter but didn't notice a thing lol after that I stopped caring.
Found my 360 slim. Replaying FF1 now. (Asked for black water for birthday so we'll see what happens on Friday) The blind woman ghost on night 2 needs to go.
I feel like most people playing V refuse to use better film and rarely if ever use lenses which will make the encounters super quick. Like tasty Fatal Frame Shutter Crushes.

The older games sort of scared people from using film especially the first one. It isn't anymore since you can buy it now but old habits die hard I guess. Project X Zone had a similar issue with people about how fights were but if you were aggressive with your item use the fights went much quicker.

what about the fade out at the end of the flashback? The comparison video made it seem like the western version faded out quicker than the Japanese one.

Which flashback? If you are talking about one in the costumes comparison vid, then it's just faded out effect added by uploader.

I've personally enjoyed it so far, but I'm a big fan of the series to begin with. I'm up to the sixth mission and the atmosphere and lore have me hooked. It's very slow moving and feels like classic survival horror, which means a lot of backtracking -- and I mean a lot. But if you like creepy Japanese supernatural stuff, like The Ring and The Grudge, it would be up your alley. It's a good game, but nowhere near the glory of Fatal Frame 2. If you can get yourself a copy of that I'd highly recommend it, but I do recommend this game as well

Mine also went out yesterday from the official store, quotes 'on or before' the 29th. I've received deliveries a few days early from Nintendo in the past, so keeping my fingers crossed.
I didn't, strange as its usually next day by Yodel on something like this. I wonder if they've stopped using Yodel and have sent them by Royal Mail, would explain the Monday dispatch. My MewTwo Amiibo came by Royal Mail last week

I didn't realize I have the option to play this like older Fatal Frames! That's going to make playing with my friends more interesting since they won't be staring at a blue rectangle.

Nintendo of America did the bare minimum for this game. Not only did they not translate it themselves [from this information], but they couldn't even give us a physical version.

it's a pity for 4th, because to me is the best episode.

Steelbook is nice (there is a title on the spine, thank god), much better than the regular box, which is plagued by USK logos. The art book is small but it has some nice character design and concept art. The poster and photos are bit megh but whatever. It's a nice package overall though.
Will give it a play later tonight.

Goddamn so hard to resist until the 30th to see if I like the game enough to keep it via the trial and am ok with not making a 100 of profit off it selling it... man the steelbook is fuckin fantastic
Maybe it was done by NoE after all, even though a few jumped down my throat for suggesting such a thing and defending NoA.

It's better than the Majora's Mask steelbook which didn't even have a title on the spine... At least the spine is symmetrical in construction so you can just flip it and it will look right on the shelf.
Right, and the camera hud shows up on screen when you pull it up so you don't have to look down at the gamepad.
