i don't know if Shantotto and Y'shtola are the main characters of 11 and 14 but yeah all the mainline numbered ones (bar 15)

As long as the character you're looking for isn't some sort of side character (which Sephiroth certainly isn't), I'm sure you can expect them in the roster of about 50 characters.
I would be genuinely surprised if the entire 32-character roster of past Dissidia games wasn't coming back, with the only possible exception of feral Chaos.

Or a compliment to current gen graphics potential. If Team Ninja did all they could to emulate Visual Work's CGI character models of the original Dissidia, Confusing CGI and in game assets was their intention i guess.

With Ramza here, it's not out of the realm of possibility. A Seven costume for Lightning could also conceivably happen, since she got a 3rd Birthday one in 012.

Probably about as much as without him, but with him you'd get some super obscure or wacky characters.
The initial game will have 7 characters I believe, and they plan on getting up to at least around 50 (though they said that they're probably gonna continue after reaching 50 - and why not, it's a cash cow that keeps on giving lol), and they also said they want to bring back all the characters from the previous games. Sephiroth was the baddie representing 7 in the past 2 games, and he's also Sephiroth. I'd expect him to be among the first villains to be revealed and released.
Arcade for at least a year, followed by PS4.

It will eventually come to PS4. 2016 November at the earliest. (Probably sometime in 2017).

The Arcade is basically running a modified PS4 hardware (that Sony helped make), so it's pretty much confirmed at this point...

Either Ace or Machina. But yeah with Ramza inclusion, I think they are open to more spinoff game characters from Type-0 or the other Tactics games or even Mobius as a tie in or something.

There's an OT for it. The Naoshi Mizuta OST is stellar.
The handful of tracks I've heard for this? I don't like them at all. What's with the music so far? We've had terrifyingly bad Engrish for what is probably the main theme for this game. Obviously, there's bound to be more but what we've heard has sounded pretty bad to me.

If it's implemented, I wonder how extensive the clothing damage will get - I could see Lightning and Tifa at least having 3rd Birthday levels of detail.

I actually half-way expect a character like Cactuar to pop up anyway. No, something even weirder. Something like the ??? ghost from FF6, Aki from Spirits Within and, most importantly, Ai from the Unlimited anime using the bitey wallet as her weapon.
