The PS1 version was actually pretty fun. Worked fairly well with a controller, and it had a fast mode that basically doubled the game's speed.

Ps1 Diablo was actually really good. Shame about the borked saving system.

My wishlist for WC3:

• Hack detection
• Widescreen and HD support.
• Updated graphics.
• Revamped B.net, supporting parties, chat that can be continued when browsing custom games or in game lobbies, and filtering options for custom games.
• Updated world editor that includes new triggers and objects, as well as access to Starcraft and Diablo models/icons.

What I do not want:

• Starcraft 2 world editor or anything like it. Fuck that hot mess.
• Starcraft 2 custom games list.
• Graphics that compromise WC3's aesthetic design. WoW is a good example of a "modern" Warcraft 3 art style.

Lack of legacy support could be a blessing. It would save the custom games list from DotA for, at the very least, a short period of time. It would give new games and content a chance. Sure, it would be dominated by copy cats, but at least we'd be seeing a lot of new stuff.

I think hephalem/greater rifts are fun but they shouldn't replace the campaign runs. Boss runs in Diablo II were very fun and also just playing the game to see how far your build could take you through normal, nightmare and hell. I don't want to see any kind of "torment" difficulties like Diablo 3, it just makes the game stupid.

I would love a Diablo 1 remake. The atmosphere of that game was/is just incredible. Truly EPIC. The art style, the music. Please Blizzard re-release Diablo 1 with great battle.net support!

I agree. With a few changes it could've been it's own thing. But the developers decided to use voice clips straight from the original game, and they also used unlicensed music from real rock bands (you can hear Nickleback in the soundtrack) . But at the same time, they knew it was going to get pulled and didn't care.

But the core game, models and art are all original. This game also incorporates some new ideas too like more than 4 cars per race and the option to race in third person mode. This fan made remake was rough around the edges, but with a little more polish it could've been great. And they could've easily avoided copyright take down from multiple parties.

I honestly think Blizzard should've just contracted these guys to make this into a real Rock N Roll Racing remake. They could bring in a few artists from Blizzard to help clean up the game, and get a new soundtrack.

I hope the AI-algorhitm gets an update. Because when moving troops, almost every time half of your units gets stuck on terrain, don't get in on a transport ship etc.

Same with the computer AI.

I played Diablo 2 a fuckload back in the day, but last time I tried to fire it up, I was bored with it damn near immediately, remembered how much I hate the skill progression system compared to Diablo 3's, and frankly, it's the worst-looking game in the series since it lacks the atmosphere of Diablo 1, or the polished, modern look of Diablo 3.

I honestly couldn't get into Diablo 2 when I played it as a kid. Think I went in expecting something else. As someone who really liked Diablo 3 for the PS4 I would eagerly buy a remastered D2.

Something I was obsessed with though was Warcraft and Starcraft. Can't wait Blizzard.

BUt Diablo 3 looks like ass. Its also a big clusterfuck in combat.
And D3 has no progression, unless You are counting going from torment 2 to 10 as the only progression that exists in D3.

The Act1 of D2 is still better than any act in D3 and D2, and by a very large margin.
What a pity that non-modded D2 didnt allow to play end-game in Act1 ;/

Indeed. I'm worried they'd mess it up somehow though.

Still, I would love the ability to play D2 online again. The temp bans they implemented to (unsuccessfully) combat bots make it impossible to MF or self mule.

I really don't have any confidence that Blizzard can remaster D2 but we'll see how it goes. They made so many mistakes with Diablo III it really soured me on them as a company.
