There's a spoiler thread for this game already. Stop posting that in here. Don't run the risk of spoiling this game for those of us who just wants to talk about the other aspects of this game.

This thread's largely a giggling hype train though. If we're not going to discuss features of the game based on the info we have, which the most religiously fundamentalist hype trainers regard as "spoilers," then what's the point of even having a Neogaf thread.

You can get that on Reddit and Kotaku, or retweeting Peter Hines, go there if you want that.

Talking about "game features" seems a far cry from talking about dialogue options from the ending of a game that isn't out for three more days.

"Features" doesn't include specific spoilers about the story.

Talking critically about the ending seems pretty much par for the course though? Behind spoiler tags?

No, that's exactly what a spoiler thread is for, not an info thread. The games not even out.

Edit: not only does it increase the chances of this thread getting locked and ruining it for everyone, it also risks getting banned.

There is dedicated spoiler thread for games, even for FO4 as we speak, where people can talk about story, characters and ending of the game. You would be surprised how often there is that one sloppy poster who fails to tag heavy spoilers when taking part in such discussions.

There's a spoiler thread already that you can discuss that. If you go back just a few pages you'll see a bunch of questions and answers concerning this game and yes there is some hype in this thread.

Bad dialog is/was being discuss but without any specific spoilers.

If you feel this is nothing more than an giggly hype thread PM a mod because hype threads aren't allowed. If you want to discuss specific story spoilers then go to the spoiler thread. If you want to talk about the bad dialog in general then cool. What's on ya mind?

Did someone say they added entry and exit wounds for gunfire earlier? Is the new dismemberment more dynamic or is it still really canned?

The info about ps4 troubles has me worried, this is why release day embargo is big fu to everyone, I don't wanna end up with a significantly inferior version of the game for $60, I would instead just not play it.

If the ps4 version is somehow inferior it's going to be a massive blowup. Just buy it for what you want. It will be patched, especially if the more powerful console runs it worse.

I missed this. In what way is it having issues? How is the Xbox One version?

Eh, I don't remember Skyrim PS3, a broken game, getting a bad score from one of the big review sites, so I don't expect Fallout 4 to either if the game is inferior on the PS4.

Some posters in I think a German forum were reporting issues. But I haven't really heard anybody else complain reading impressions all over the place including this very thread where some people have the game and have no issues.

Considering we live in the era of day one patches any reported issues should me largely ignored. At least until launch day.

It's Bethesda so expect bugs and such. I easily handled Skyrim PS3 so as long as the exploring and looting is fun, I'm all aboard.

I'm playing the PS4 version right now and it is really the most polished Bethesda game i've ever played !

OK good. I'm getting it on Xbox One though, any news on that version?

What VPN are people using for PSN? I would like to play Fallout 4 earlier but I'm a bit confused about the method people are using and what safeguards do they have to make sure their accounts don't get slammed and lose all their digital games.

I have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off next week. So glad I can unlock through VPN so early on Monday to play all day instead of sitting around watching streams and waiting until Tuesday.

VPN won't help out console players, it's only helpful for PC players.

Yeah same here. I'd like to know this too.

Graphically?

Yup! But it was a stream on Twitch above an Stream from Windows 10 Xbox App (the guy was having issues streaming directly from XB1). So some details were kind difficult to evaluate.

However, it was the XB1 version indeed. I saw an friend notification poping in aswell as the Xbox app stream settings menu, while the guy was streaming.

Gave my impressions same pages below:
My impressions about that XB1 stream:

Textures are really bad overall, but the art direction is great! The visuals are clean and very colorful! The draw distance seems pretty decent for me, and the landscape is beautiful! It's looking pretty similar to what I've seen in the gameplay trailers, and that's awesome.

Animations looks really good now! I totally can see myself spending a huge ammount of playtime using the 3rd person camera.

Can't speak much about the gunplay cause the guy took much of his time just wandering around, totally lost, without knowing where to go! But the little I saw, I liked.

It seems a huge improvement over Fallout 3 and New Vegas! I'm really releived about the XB1 version and am ready to jump in.

Also, I took a screenshot, but it's very compressed (the stream was waay better than this):

I remember it well, it was last gen and it was generally acceptable for multiplatform to under perform on PS3. I suspect that most reviewers played skyrim on the 360, just like I did. But I heard about the troubles people had on the ps3 version, I think something like the game getting more broken as the size of the save file increased.

Ps4 is in more mainstream use now so I bet a bunch of people used as the ps4 version for the review and if they have encountered minimal troubles in 100 hour or so off gameplay, than I will be satisfied.
