If it matters that much to you I guess. Roommate is really excited about the game and wants to play it day 1, we have both consoles so he cancelled PS4 pre-order and is picking up XBO version instead.

A part of me wanted to get it on console but this makes me pleased I chose PC. I'm interested how the performance will fare when the consoles get mods.

Bethesda bros. As much as I've played and liked their games they've always, ALWAYS, been sub par in the tech department. Why would fallout 4 be any different? I guarantee there are tons of bugs we'll encounter as well.

Sure, but I don't think we should be making claims like this so early just based on video from one user.
His game could be bugged causing performance issues (which doesn't seem that unlikely in a Bethesda game), his PS4 could be dying, or there could indeed be a large gulf in framerate between the two versions.

The decision doesn't really make sense based on such circumstantial evidence though does it?

I think this is down to the way the engine works with the consoles architecture. Bethesda are much more useful with the Xbox platform than the Playstation platform.

This was expected, I doubt it will be anything like Skyrim on PS3 though.

Witcher 3 now performs better on PS4 while being at 1080p... Unlike the 900p Xbones version renders. Dragon age is also 1080p on PS4 vs 900p on Xbone though it runs slightly worse. The comparison to Fallout with those two games isn't the same as Fallout 4 is running the same resolution on both systems.

Seems like making up my mind about waiting until I buy my gaming PC before I play this was the right choice.

I mean hell, Witcher 3 also had frequent drops but at very least it is one of the nicest looking open world games this gen.
Fallout looks rather bland and you'd at least expect it to run at locked 30fps or with very frequent frame drops. But this just looks like the worst of both worlds

I will be buying this on PC i think. Id just rather play at 60 than 30 but man i hope they fix the console versions. Be interesting to see what the XB1 version does.

I haven't seen enough to make any decision whatsoever, especially when you consider the sources are individual users. If you make decisions like this in every aspect of your life you'd be bouncing around like a pinball.

Oh well, any Bethesda games I do buy (FO3 and NV) were nearly free used by the time I got them so I got nothing to complain about. Doesn't look like this one will buck the trend. Not worth $60 for me, but for about $6 sure why not.
