Media Create Sales: Week 46, 2015 (Nov 9 - Nov 15)

PS4 has so many japanese system sellers in 2016. It should be an amazing year.

From the top of my head:

- Final Fantasy XV
- World of Final Fantasy
- Dissidia Final Fantasy (very likely)
- Kingdom Hearts 2.8
- Dragon Quest XI (maybe 2017)
- Dragon Quest Builders
- Dragon Quest Heroes 2
- Nier Automata
- Star Ocean 5
- Gran Turismo Sports
- The Last Guardian
- Gravity Rush 2
- New Minna no Golf
- Level-5 & Sony Collaboration Project (maybe 2017)
- Street Fighter V
- Yakuza 6
- Yakuza 1 Remake
- New Valkyria
- Dark Souls 3
- Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
- King of Fighters XIV
- Ni-Oh
- Tales of Berseria
- Persona 5
- Tekken 7
- One Piece Burning Blood
- Resident Evil Zero HD
- Resident Evil 7 (very likely IMO)
- Devil May Cry 5 (very likely IMO)

And probably some others I am forgetting! Add to that big western hitters like Uncharted 4 and COD!

That feeling when you see Persona on annual hype lists......3 years in a row ;____;

PS4 does have a very formidable line-up next year along side the 3DS on it's swan song. Should be a bit more interesting than this year for sure. I think hardware sales are still going to be middling to bad all around, with the PS4 taking top spot.

So Atelier Sophie came out yesterday, any predictions on how that may fare compared to Yoru No Nai Kuni aka Nights of Azure?

All those 'system sellers' are from the top of your head? That is some amazing memory you have.

Yes. I love to do lists, so I kind of have them in my memory now hahah.

And about the term "system seller", I guess I shouldnt have use it. I meant games that would push PS4 hardware and keep it healthy.

The digital Vita version is 7129MB, curious if there might be a slightly higher physical turnout than usual for that reason. Wonder if they got the mythical 8GB cards, unless it just comes with a massive 3.5GB patch.

Omega Labyrinth is doing well enough that it's selling out in several stores.

Time to update it, then (adding development teams)

Upcoming first party titles in Japan

Wii U
Mario Tennis: Ultra Light - Camelot, releasing in a few hours in the West
Pokken Tournament - Bandai Namco
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD - Tantalus
Star Fox: Zero - EPD/Platinum (co-development)
The Legend of Zelda U - EPD
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games - SEGA
#FE - Atlus

3DS
Mario & Luigi: PaperJam - AlphaDream
Hyrule Warriors Legends - Omega Team / Team Ninja
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games - SEGA
Metroid Prime: Federation Forces - Next Level Games
Culdcept Revolt - Omiyasoft

As you can see, the upcoming lineup sees a very light involvement from Nintendo's own teams, except for Zelda U. A good chunk of teams (especially major) aren't involved. And we haven't heard almost anything about specific teams for quite a long time.

If I have to make a prediction about a Nintendo team still working on 3DS next year, I suppose we'll see HAL Laboratory on 3DS again with a new Kirby (spin-off or a main): I just can't see a Nintendo handheld leaving the market with just one retail Kirby game, and the other games sold well (Kirby: Triple Deluxe is a million+ seller WW, and Kirby Fighter Z is a 200k+ seller on the eShop).

Of course, there's also Pokémon Z to consider.

There's the possible Pikmin 4 on something right (Wii U / NX?)

Also, as with any game list for a year, we still don't know how many of those titles will actually ship in 2016. I kind of have to expect delays, especially with Square Enix titles....

Also, why exactly is anyone trying to analyze God Eater: Resurrection to determine future series performance? I think it only continues to show is that the PS4 isn't really a platform for hunting games and does raise the question of the future of the God Eater series after the Vita. I figure that kind of shoves it on NX if they don't do PS4, or maybe just a simultaneous release on both (assuming NX has a portable SKU).

Are 8GB cards real? Since Killzone; MLB; Sly Trilogy and Final Fantasy X/X2 couldn't get them I always assumed not.

That list is good. I think that 10% of it might be actual system Selles (maybe more if you count the games that dont exist in any forma yet like level 5 or resideng 7) but its good to see that the system is having more exclusive games apart from the vita.

Also, splatoon obviously is going to remain in the top 20 for a while. The bundle will help this. And for sharp fe naysayers, still think its going to the best selling RPG on the wiiu.

What else would even chart though? #FE maybe? Just Dance: YW?

well, while Japan loves Animal Crossing the most, they also care about Amiibos the least, so...

(what are you expecting anyway?)

um, not much I guess. When it was first announced I thought around a 60k opening and who even knows about legs.

That seems unlikely now.

Mario tennis won't do as well in Japan as the US I assume. And I don't know what expectations are for Taiko.

So is FE# the "big" one? (outside of Splatoon and Mario Maker)

Comgnet matters little for AC. Its not the type of game people preorder at all. I think this game is quite hard to predict. It's the big nintendo game for holidays, there's already ads out there (quite adorable) and AC is quite popular, but amiibos are not big in Japan and the game seems bad, so i don't know what to expect.

Taiko will probably do as it always do. A bad first week, but keeps selling for a long time.

With that competition, youkai dance, if its marketed well, might be the biggest game this holiday (apart from splatoon). I don't know. Anything is possible

Oh, well then.... -blushes- And as for Atelier Sophie is that good?!

COMG chart is about preorder games, so on release day (usually on thursday) they leave the chart

honestly I didn't remember how many points Atelier had yesterday, it was around the middle of the chart, maybe 30pt (but take it with a grain of salt); I think it will perform as other entries (first week <20k)

Shame about Grand Kingdom, game looks good and reviewed well.

Wonder if Airship Q will find legs, probably not without any word of mouth.

Japan seems to be passing on 2d games.

Poor Grand Kingdom - another new IP bombing. Omega Labyrinth doing good apparently, so perhaps Spike Chunsoft game doesn't have enough boobs?
