Man, at this rate Civil War will join Winter Soldier as the best cinematic marvel movies to date. So good.
Civil War will prove whether or not the Russos were just a one-off or if they're the men destined to give us the Holy Grail of comic book movies and actually deliver on the potential of Infinity War.

A closer look at the Sokovia Accords:

May explain why Black Panther is Team Iron Man.

Wait no Canada on the list of nations? But...

Zolas "evil monologue" in Winter Soldier confirms it.

No it didn't. It showed a roll of flashbacks, news articles (one of which indicating Starks parents death) followed by a quick show of the The Winter Soldier. That didn't confirm nor deny anything. Hopefully we'll know in Civil War.

Even then though, we know they can work in a conspiracy/thriller kind of scale, but can they handle cosmic Marvel? That's the question.

Whats the deal with Marvel Canada?

A frozen hellscape in which Harper was reelected for another term.

This seems like its going to be a really long movie. Just too many things to cover unless some characters are just going to be glorified background pieces.

There's a ton of characters they haven't introduced, not to mention the tons that they can't use.

Yeah, but beside Reed Richards, none of them were really involved in a big way. Susan and Johnny were only relevant to give some drama to Reeds fall into stupidity.

Appreciate this trailer much more after watching the new BVS trailer.
I find it interesting how Civil War would be impossible to pull off well without all the prior build up between the two central characters but BvS wouldn't make much sense if it occurred after the Justice League is formed.

There's a lot more emotional investment with CW. I feel like no one cares enough to pick sides with BvS. That's clearly not the case for CW. But hey, maybe BvS will provide the superior spectacle.

You think no one cares about Batman or Superman? C'mon, guek. You are better than that.

Actually I feel like I care less about the conflict in civil war, only because after so many movies there's nowhere for the relationship between Cap and Tony to go aside from straight to the toilet. There isn't much room for any character growth.

yeah that "so was I" comment in the trailer doesn't work at all. because every interaction tony has had with steve has been kinda shitty (attitude-wise). they are acquaintances at best so I dunno why he seems so hurt in that scene.

I wonder if he genuinely believes that he was his friend. Considering how he treats James it would make sense.

That's not what I said at all. I said no one really cares about picking sides between the two main characters. Of course, that's partly because it's plainly obvious they work together in the end and both make it out unscathed. BvS isn't aiming for the same emotional beats as CW, and in that way, they're very different movies.

that's not even nearly the same. you can see the friendship there. it's kind of buddy-cop like with the wiseass attitude between each other.

him and cap have had no chemistry together. he barely knows him as far as the movies are concerned. the 'civil war' thing doesn't seem that crazy or as developed as it should be considering they've had all the time in the world to lead up to it. but whatever, the steve defending bucky against everybody thing is what really looks so interesting about it.

Friends can fight. They have saved the world twice and they're just acquaintances, lol get out of here.

Not really. There are plenty of moments in AoU that show they're friends even if they don't always get along. At the very least, they're close teammates.

I think the issue is that Stark seems oddly upset that Cap would choose his best friend over him. It's not like Stark is in life threatening danger so what's Cap's motivation for picking Stark?
