This sounds like Kojima productions going second party or something similar to From Software doing Blodborne or the situation with Freedom Wars. Wich i'm super OK with it.
In the future Kojipro will be able to do games with other companies if they so desire, just like Insomniac.
Anyway this are great news all around, Kojima and co. are free to finally start developing wathever game they so desire.

This is great. The big three have deep pockets, though "console exclusive" isn't an actual exclusive. Sony should know this but the weiedness with Street Fighter V happened too. Steam and such are a competitor for mindshare and dollars, no question.

One dude at Sony was just talking about how Sony is always looking to expand WWS. I think they're waiting for this to drop and they'll make Kojima's new studio the newest member of WWS.

If Kojima spent any considerable amount of time working on PT I'm sure he'd want to fulfill that vision. As long as he doesn't use any code or assets from whatever he worked on for Hills, he could basically make the same game and call it something else.
Because Silent Hills was and will never be released, there wouldn't be any trademark/copyright infringement if he were to make the same game with Reedus and Del Toro.
Hell, Kojima could just call it Siren

Because as soon as he hears the words "Console Exclusive" he has to tell everyone who owns a console that they have low standards and are how they're fucking up his glorious PC experience. I used to really enjoy his videos, until his PC-elitism hit critical levels.
As someone who owns a PC, PS4, Xbone, and WiiU I couldn't be more ecstatic that Kojima happened to land a deal like this. I'll play whatever this turns out to be on whichever platform it lands on (PS4 or PC) because I'm just thrilled that Kojima is going to continue making games.

That's great unless you a MGS fan. As you would have liked Kojima to make another MGS again one day, but that will never happen now.
Because he's a petulant child? He says platform loyalty is for suckers, but there he is imploding over his perception that this new game isn't coming to his preferred platform. Rather than, you know, being happy for Kojima and looking forward to the new game.
Man, hopefully KojiPro can hook Yoji Shinkaawa. That man deserves more than to do art for pachinko games.

I'm a main PC gamer now, and I'm happy he's working with Sony. It seems like a good fit as I said in the past. He's in Japan, they're in Japan. They have a popular console world wide, he appeals to that audience. Good solid match.

I gotta imagine he has to completely start from scratch as anything he thought of previously is owned by Konami. Im sure that means he'll use UE4 or something, but yeah a couple years minimum before a game comes out
