If Trump wins the primaries, I hope that those sound-minded Republicans, how ever many of them are left, try to take their party back from the morons and lunatics that are currently running it.

This is random but I feel like there's a new "Trump polls surge even higher" story every couple days, but his "new" numbers have always been somewhere in the 30-40% range for the last several months.
I get that there's tons of different places polling but it's odd. Seems like the numbers haven't moved much at all.

They have been moving steadily up the past month. I wonder if another drop will happen between now and Iowa.
It's usually more "in relation to previous polls of the same firm".
It'll get worse before it gets better, like tearing off a band aid. When Trump inevitably goes down in flames in the general election I think it will force the Republican party to undergo a realignment to marginalize the racists.
You underestimate the number of racists and sympathizers.

He was the frontrunner and was definitely going to win if wasn't for Trump. Just look at how popular Carson, Fiorina and Trump have gotten. Look at Cruz popularity. The GOP electorate is going for an anti-establishment candidate for sure, or one who is a tea party darling like Cruz.
Donald Trump is saying we should kill the families of terrorists, and yet his poll numbers rise etc.

Trump losing by a large margin isn't necessarily a given, and Republicans will still hold onto hope as long as they keep wining midterms and local elections.
