If you have a US PT license, you may be able to download PT using this tool - Reddit

I was another person who didn't have a PS4 yet at the time P.T. was delisted, so I "bought" it from the PS Store Web site just before it was pulled.

I followed the directions last night to the letter, and this method worked for me. The game boots and runs just fine.

I am unconcerned about a ban because all I did was
- switch my PS4's internet settings
- download P.T. using the proxy server
- switch my PS4's internet settings back

Even if that does somehow violate the TOS, I fail to see how this impacts any of Sony's services in any way, shape or form, or impacts any other users. Why would they bother?

I don't even see how they can possibly ban you for this.

It worked perfectly for me and took like a minute.

Gonna scare the shit out of my gf tonight

The only reason I think they would bother is if Konami wanted them too. Other than that, I don't think they'll care.

I think Sony would just tell Konami to GTFO. The amount of backlash and bad press Sony would get if they banned people for doing this would be astounding.

OMG this is working in Australia! This will be a nervous 65 minutes waiting for it to complete the download.

Also, slow speeds, guys? This is the max I ever get from crappy Australian internet, ha!

Wow, that was awesome! Even though I'd watched a walkthrough, thinking I'd never get to play it, and despite being all prepared, it really scared and unsettled me. My brother abandoned me after 5 minutes because it was too much, lol.

Such promise for a Silent Hill game, thrown away by whatever crap went on behind the scenes. Hopefully Kojima still does a horror game some day. At least I'll always have PT now. Yay!

Today my internet connection echoed Fuck Konami and it was good.

Got it to work, thanks! Had issues at first, but only because I'm a dummy and typo'd the IP address of my laptop as well as the proxy....dunno wtf is wrong w/ me today. But, downloading now, albeit slowly, but oh well.

Originally had it before, but upgraded my hard drive before trying it, not even thinking about it....bad bad idea.

I let out a squeal when playing this just now. An actual audible squeal. I'm embarrassed of myself.

Fuck me.

Then I think I broke it. I was wandering around for about 5 minutes and nothing would happen. No doors would open, the radio stop, the moans stopped.

Will dive back in tomorrow night for a proper go at it. Hopefully with less squealing.

Hopefully this still works when I'll get a PS4. Luckily I was forward looking enough to get PT on every region account I have

OMG IT'S WORRRKING!!!!! O_O

Thank you sososooo much for this thread. I remember checking it out yesterday but I was worried about putting my PSN account on the line for messing with stuff. Read some more about it today and gave it a try, simple/easy and I'm downloading now!! Making up for my stupid mistake of hitting the "select all" tick box in the application data management that one time.

I assume I should change my internet settings back on the PS4 after it's done. I'm also trying to find what to remove that installed on the PC. I'm sure it's fine to leave it but I don't know when I'd use it again.

Finished downloading :) awesome

first run back I got the dark hallway first thing. Walk near the end of the first hall and see the shadow behind you spazzing out. This game is too much sometimes lol. Last 2 times I tried playing I got the dark hallway first thing.

There is a link in the first post that leads to instructions on how to remove Squid.

I can't enjoy this but for those that got over the wall, I raise a glass.

When my PS4-killing Just Cause 3 crash sent my bricked system back to Sony I was afraid I'd never get to finish PT. But the day I sent it back this thread appeared and I've had hope. Thanks for all of your feedback, folks.

Are there any concerns about the Squid program on the PC? I was a bit skeptical because it sounded like a great opportunity to sucker people into installing something malicious.

(With so many people reinstalling PT I don't think there's much of a chance of Sony banning accounts. Invalidating PT license maybe, but not banning.)

I'm going to give this a shot when I get my (refurbished) PS4 back, hopefully next week.

Still super scared to do this as someone who has gone 100% digital :(

How does it feel, to fear for that entire library? To wonder, should you do the wrong thing according to that multi-page legalese text-scroll you blasted past and hit accept to dismiss, if you will be summarily relieved of hundreds of dollars of "purchases" and left to beg like a pauper on a support hotline?

Wouldn't it feel good just to throw caution to the wind and get the thing you redeemed for because you feel you have a right to it? The way you would if it was bundled onto a disc inside a magazine in the early 90's?

Do it, brother. Join us.

Good to know it's still working. I don't think I'll get banned but I sure hope it doesn't come to that. All my games are digital, would hate to lose that. I'll try this tonight.

Only downside of upgrading my hdd was losing PT. Waited a few days to see if bans would come down for this, but it sounds like it's safe. Will require/download tonight. Thanks OP.

Can any one help me please? I tried this for a few hours the other night and couldn't get it to work, I kept getting that error on the connection test that a few people had up thread. Has anyone found a consistent way around it?

I did it Count. However, if anything goes wrong, the only numbers you'll be counting are ones related to the amount of money you owe me ;)

One, one glorious step for freedom!!

My house was burglarized this past June and among the items stolen was a PS4, a white Xbox One, and two PS3's. The authorities were able to track down the perps by pinging my PS4 when one of the dim-witted thieves registered it with PSN! Long story short, I did get the PS4 and the Xbone back, but the thieves wiped the hard drives on both of them, so there went my P.T.

I used this method last night and am happy to report that my copy of P.T. is back! Many thanks to the OP for coming up with this app!!

Oh, and BTW, these "rocket science" thieves didn't take a single game (except for Witcher III, because it happened to be in the PS4 at the time), and they completely bypassed my Wii U. Go figure! :)

Can't believe I won't be able to play P.T. ever again since it had a expiration date here in Germany... Hopefully German "locked" P.T. applications get unlocked too someday.

Anyways I'm glad that many of you guys can play it again and also for their first time.

I keep running into similar issues, where it says that I need to connect a LAN cable. I'm running the proxy stuff on a wired desktop PC, if that means anything.

Have you tried going the Wi Fi route on the PS4 instead? Just custom set up your Wi Fi connection. Do it like normal and then just follow the same steps til you get to the proxy settings.
