The Wrap
The CW is dedicating a whole night to Warner Bros’ catalog of upcoming DC comic book adaptations, with a brand new “Suicide Squad” trailer.

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time Is Now” will give an in-depth look at the network’s “Arrow”-“The Flash” spinoff series, while “DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League” will preview “Batman v Superman” and other upcoming films on the slate.

“Dawn of the Justice League” will preview the upcoming DC comic book adaptation films coming out starting next year, featuring interviews with directors Zack Snyder (“Batman v Superman,” “Justice League”) and Patty Jenkins (“Wonder Woman”) and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot.

got un-excited when i saw "WB's upcoming films"

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
New Suicide Squad trailer? I'm in. Plus getting additional information on Wonder Woman will be nice, if it truly is new.

So that would make 4 days of Superhero stuff on the CW that week. Sounds good.

It's just a half hour special of the upcoming movies

Cool. Finally using that CW connection better. Too bad we can't get a suicide Squad show because of the movie.

i know, and i won't watch it (for fear of spoilers) but i'd rather it was just more DC-CW tbh

the sneak peak at Wonder Woman could be cool, though

These things rarely have anymore spoilers than a trailer. They usually act all coy and tight lipped about everything. It's your typical interview promo stuff, talk about how much you as an actor always loved whatever character blah blah blah. They're not giving away anything important on Batman vs Superman here.

I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to this. I am way too excited for movies that will probably end up sucking

i'm still salty about Arrow S3 being stripped of the Suicide Squad bc of the movie... i'm emotionally preparing for The Flash S5 featuring no one

i don't even watch trailers or commercials for most movies i'm anticipating... it's a problem, i know

Holy wow

1)This is brilliant. Finally using something from that Disney/Marvel/ABC playbook.

2)Oh man not like I need another reason to tune into the CW, but so there!

3) Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad!

Er hmm...

A little confused... since says it's 2 hours, but nothing has said that The Flash has been delayed and night it's expected to return

So is it The Flash then 2 30-minute specials?

More like realistic rick. It's good I am excited, but...well, it's DC.

Unless you genuinely believe there's some sort of literal curse on DC films that prevents them from being good, there's no reason to think that literally every single one of their films is just doomed to suck.

Jealous of the Glory that is Johnny Depp
So is the WW footage is from her movie or from BvS? The wording in that press release is not clear.

Nah, save it for the movie...
It could convince people who don't see her as a fighter.

He is negative about all their existing output, so it is amazing he looks forward to anything by them.

CW becoming the DC/vertigo channel.

Not surprised. Arrow and The Flash (and more than likely Legends of Tomorrow) are the only shows this season that are bringing in near a 1.0 (Arrow) or above 1.0 (The Flash) every new episode.

I know realistically they probably can't take on another DC show, but I wonder what will happen if/when Legends proves to be just as successful as Arrow/Flash.

Might as well be

Bet this special does better numbers than most of their new shows that week.

I'd imagine we won't get actual footage, but could see some BTS stuff since would have been filming for like 2 months or so.

Just move Supergirl and get the Constantine team back together. And get Blackbirds out of development hell.

One hour. There are two specials airing. The first is about Legends of Tomorrow and that's a full hour or 45/48 minutes once you cut the commercials out I believe. The second hour the same night is the "Dawn of the Justice League" special with interviews from Zack Snyder and Patty Jenkins. So that likely means footage from the Wonder Woman film as well as BvS footage. Also interviews with Henry Cavil, Gal Gadot, and Ben Affleck as well.

They didn't say who was the host or narrator for these though.

This is airing on Tuesday, Jan. 19 2016 at 8pm EST. I think that should be added to the opening post or the title if possible.

Edit:

Stand corrected. Looks like TheWrap gives the wrong impression of how long each will be. The Flash returns that night. The original link in the thread made it seem like each special would be an hour to result in a two hour special.

Now that's a name I haven't heard in ages. At this point it's best to pretend it's cancelled to be honest. There's been no news in months.

Isn't it Kevin Smith?
