Holy shit, this mean Star Wars bundle sold around 600,000... that's insane.

And yeah, Star Wars up compared to last month is very good.

Didn't Harker say that the nothing came close to the Gears bundle? Gears was the vast majority of the Xbox One's sold in that case if it sold better than the SW bundle.

Including bundles, did Gears outsell Halo? If not, how close?

Thanks for your infos, Mulcair.

Just to know, does NPD tracked the Rise of The Tomb Raider Xbox One bundle that was exclusive to Best Buy? If yes, could you provide us a range of sales?

I'd like to know this as well. I bet it sold less than 50k.

I just love how all the "battlefield bombed" people have gone pretty silent. It's hard to even make a case it underperformed, really.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare U.S. physical retail sell-through:

November 2014 NPD Report: 4.66 million (including bundles)
December 2014 NPD Report: 2.84 million (including bundles)

Call of Duty: Black Ops III U.S. physical retail sell-through:

November 2015 NPD Report: 4.89 million (including bundles)
December 2015 NPD Report: 3.44 million (including bundles)

Furthermore, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is also higher than its predecessor in both December and lifetime-to-date through 2015 when we look at individual SKU rankings excluding bundles.

So bundled and unbundled, BlOps3 did better than AW. Great to know. Means that the franchise has not declined again this year, and has even grown a bit over last year thanks (hopefully) to a quality title being put out unlike the previous two installments.

Why doesn't EA deserved to be mentioned?

Because EA's partnership was with Disney. I don't think they controlled the marketing for Battlefront. The timing of the release, the marketing deal with Sony, the timing of the marketing were probably dictated by Disney.

EA is making a killing with Battlefront though. So kudos for getting the Star Wars license from Disney.

Not to mention all the 'third party marketing deals don't work', 'Sony won't make it through the holiday without any AAA exclusives' and 'SWBF won't be as big as you think'.

If anything, it proves imo how misguided their strategy of multiplying bundles at $399 and above was.

In the end, it's the $349 bundle that was brought down to $299 that was -the- attractive bundle.
The only other bundle at $349, the Lego one, baffles me still to this day (and I don't think I ever saw it charting on Amazon), while the Holiday bundle did chart but nowhere near Gears.
Same for Fallout 4 bundle at $399 really, a missed opportunity, and let's not even talk about the unavailable anywhere but Best Buy Tomb Raider one at $399...

$399 bundles probably did well enough to make some $ along with the cheaper $349 ones when all the bundles got $50 off. Im sure they made decent dollar off that $499 Halo one too

LTD up to this point:
PS4 12.4m (DEC '15) - eclipses closest competitor
PS3 6.8m (DEC '08) - holding steady year over year while being leap-frogged by competition
PS2 13.0m (NOV '02) - about to reach its biggest month ever
PS1 4.6m (OCT '97) - surging following FFVII release

And yet some would still go "DOOOOOOMED, I don't think PS4 can hit 90 million, let alone 100."

This despite the fact that it's practically crossing streams with the PS2 again and doing a safe #1 in other markets (well, not Japan).

Add 2.5 million to the PS2.

Those damn third holiday seasons, or rather, just December exclusively. If this chart is accurate it's had it's third November at least as it launched in October, so 2.5m seems too high for just December 2002, unless you mean total. Still, 100 million is a lock and the Xbox One is easily outperforming the original Xbox in the US too. It's no seventh gen but it's not all doom and gloom.

That's PS2's November at the end there with PS4's December. PS2 launched in October, not November.

that's also a $199 PS2 vs a $349 with a couple of weeks at $300 PS4.

When projecting worldwide sales you need to remember that after 6 years ps2 was at 100million, and that's doable by ps4. The legs after the gen ends will make the real difference.

And looking at the engineering of PS4 it should get to the far lower price point during its late life than PS3. It's going to help its legs especially in developing world.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition sold well above 800K when including bundle units.

It was the most popular Xbox One hardware SKU by far.

6) 1,290,000 (XB1; December 2014)

Make this 1,297,000

Also just noticed (well I already did, but I have a reason to post it now!) that the Xbox One's November 2015 performed just as well as it did back in December 2014 in terms of total units.

Weekly average

November 2015: 1296k / 4 weeks = 324,000

December 2014: 1297k / 5 weeks = 259,400

So Xenoblade should hit over 500 lifetime worldwide digital plus physical wow

In addition to that Nintendo has a pretty good engine and overall tech they can exploit with other games going in the future as a result of building this game. Seems like XCX should be a win all around for Nintendo. I hope so anyway. Here's hoping this is enough to get a sequel that is just as impression if not more so.

Am i missed something? Where did you get 1,297,000?

Hmm so the gears bundle wasn't that far ahead of the sw bundle then. I thought harker said no bundle could even come close to touching it or something?

Really makes Gamestop's comments earlier seem really out of left field. This is the single best performing Star Wars game, so how much more did they think the game would do?!

90m is locked for PS4.

100m is in play.

PS4 will easily beat the Psone LTD numbers (103m).
The only interesting question is how close they'll get to the PS2 LTD installed base.
And that will depend a lot on how the PS4 will sell after the PS5 is launched and Sony's ability to reach truly mainstream prices like 129$ or 99$. For PS3 it wasn't possible and sales collpased otherwise they could have easily surpassed the 100m units with the PS3 as well instead of settling down around the 90m mark.
