The pacing is going crazy fast, but I am enjoying the hell outta the ride. Shit just never stops escalating in Toriko. Guinness' feats in this chapter were insane. All fucking casual to boot. I look forward to Toriko every week greatly because of this crazy shit. I just hope the series is ending soon or something, I hear that discussed a lot. The pace is ridiculous lately, can't really be argued. But I really am excited to see the showdown against NEO. I don't see the earth surviving this shit. These beings are just too fucking powerful.

Catching up on this cause my normal method of reading has quickly become the worst way to read manga mainly due to it never fucking updating.
That said.
Tsugumomo is still the best action manga that is going today. Full stop. The action scenes in it are full of a kinetic energy and incredible detail of linework that lets the flow of the fight be followed so easily despite being incredibly complex and choreographed beautifully.
The characters are fantastic and often skip right past trope city to create real emotional ties and weight to their actions. The plot is great. Simple but very well done and effective.
And yet, I don't think I can ever recommend it to people because it's essentially porn. And not even like "man this has a lot of fan service" but straight up it IS porn. In between every astonishing fight scene or explanation of the intricacies of the plot or relationship there is just fucking titties and spread labias and fucking everything. Someone like me or Zweizer can easily deal with such things but any normal human being wouldn't be able to get past a page.
Which is a fucking tragedy. This manga is so amazingly good.

The publisher here reprinted various first volumes to be sold at a special price for their anniversary, with promises to reprint the other volumes too. I grabbed the first volume of SKR and then grabbed the 2nd and 3rd volume of the old print to keep reading (the 4th seems to be out of print, so I'll be stuck here for a bit).
My first impression is a good one. The series is fun and full of action. I can't yet say if I appreciate the way Boichi goes about breaking up the more serious moments with those silly faces he gives the characters. I'll also never get over how Boichi can draw those hot bodies (for both men and women) but then derp the girls' faces.
But hey, that's not really here nor there. What matters is that I like Ken and his style of stupid justice in the underground world. I like that he keeps wanting to protect the weak and once again he decided to try and protect Miss Yu, though it never ended well after the dust settled so far. Hopefully third time's the charm.
All this said, let's get real for a second... how could Ken turn down He Rin? Ganguro girl > all the others!

Couldn't wait for the manga and just read the novel. Shit is tight
The main character is way too OP but is limited by his current body. Basically knows everything ever and slowly tries to get stronger at a pace his body can handle. Straight up troll. The biggest troll. The fights take a back seat to training and him messing with watever new family head or politician or king that underestimate him but in the end come to finally understand how broken he is. Takes his time and is almost killed several times but manages somehow. Romance is super straight forward. No bullshitting. Everyone confesses their love for the person they like and pursue it relentlessly to the point they don't give a shit they like someone else. Amazing i gotta say. World is big and characters are crazy and cool. Since he is only limited by his body and stronger than everyone else in every other matter , you don't get rivals that stay long since he surpasses them and people who you thought would be main stay get bodied quick lol and become cowards right after. Basically the story of how everyone sees that the main dude ain't nothing to fuck with

It's not as heavy in tone though.

a little different from the other fantasy settings and it is interesting that he's using what's he learned as a guide
I actually liked that his past self is also acting as a barrier in how he wants to go forward in this new life so it's an interesting series
