I'm tempted to upgrade S&P just to see how much better it feels to play on the Gamepad compared to the Classic Controller. A shame they can't put upgrades on sale, even if it's just 25 or 50 cents cheaper.
For off TV play it's not a problem, but if your using the gamepad to play on the TV you will experience one extra frame of lag (like other vc games). You will feel it in sin and punishment.

edit: disregard the above, I meant inreased input lag when using the gamepad as the controller when playing on the tv.

So Bigley's Revenge has been delisted from the eShop. Initially I had assumed that it was due to copyright again, but upon further investigation, it looks like it's due to the ESRB this time. Apparently they weren't happy with the initial rating, so it's been temporarily pulled so it can be resubmitted with the new rating.

What? This is completely backwards. The gamepad has an extra frame of lag on its screen versus the TV, unless you have a laggy TV.

lol that's why that game was removed? I noticed it got an E on the ESRB site. Edit: I just checked Nintendo's site & they said it's rated T.

......speaking of which, I noticed there was a second listing for Pokemon Rumble World, but this time with an actual description, so I guess we're getting the retail version that removes the F2P elements as well.

You're right, what I meant to say was input lag.
There is increased input lag on the gamepad compared to the procontroller. I personally think it is to account for the gamepads screen being a frame behind. Why I brought it up initially is that people seem to blame the virtual console emulation saying it's poor when they use the gamepad as the controller to play on the tv screen, and in the case of sin and punishment the input lag is detrimental.

Age rating is tied to the game's rom. So that requires a patch to update that.

ZaciSa actually was affected the same way. But it stayed the same rating, it just had a descriptor added to it. So didn't require any patch. Just had to update the trailer on eShop to include it.

Beat zero mission, is it weird that I prefer the original version over it?
It wasn't bad; the stealth section at the end kind of soured my experience a little though.

I don't mind Zero Mission. It did give birth to Zero Suit Samus, after all. However, I don't feel the need to replay it after having played the original Metroid so many times over the years (and having the GBA cartridge). On the flip side, I love having Fusion on my 3DS. Guess the OG Metroid just isn't my favorite to keep revisting...

Yes, you're officially weird.
:'(
I know that it's a definite improvement, but having played the original a lot when I was younger it didn't add as much as I would have liked.

Yeah, I kind of can relate to this.
I played a lot of the original and was expecting more from zero mission, which even though it was a great game might of lead to some disappointment.

Nah, I'm in the same case, and it's not even nostalgia since I played Metroid NES for the first time on GameCube after having beaten Metroid Prime.

They're just completely different games. Metroid NES is all about tight survival action and being lost, and MZM is a Super Metroid clone with better controls and a lot more linearity.

I hated the stealth sections, too. Still a good game.

Anyone ever play Injustice on the Wii-U? I kind of want to try it at $7. I figure the online is dead but is it still a fun game to play?

The port is fine and there's a good amount of single-player content. The main issue is it didn't get all the extra DLC characters.

I want Mario Party 1 and 2.
Mario Party 1 most likely isn't going to happen due to the "rotate the analog stick like crazy to win" and the fact they had to flat-out issue a warning about people using the palm of their hands to do so.

I feel like Mario Party 2 might happen eventually since it's on the Wii VC. Though I'm kind of surprised MP3 never got added.

I had fun destroying my palm, though. :p

Assume nothing with NoE's methods.

There is not a single English-only 50Hz VC game on the eShop, though
(except for Balloon Fight, but that was their first release)
. In fact, after the initial first releases they even started using the US versions of games that got European translations, as long as the game itself is relatively language independent. It all makes sense to me.

Great news on Mario Kart, its the last VC game I need to upgrade.

I wonder if the Mario Hanafuda 3DS theme is the same one that was previously Club Nintendo exclusive...?

Here's hoping Ryo Hazuki is in the Project X Zone 2 demo!

So if it all makes sense, can you explain why Donkey Kong Country 2 is 50Hz while 1 and 3 are 60Hz?

You mean this one?

It was released a couple of weeks ago in Japan, had no idea it was different from the CN theme.

The CN Theme:
;_; I forewent that one for the consoles theme. Then the music turned out annoying me and I deleted it.

btw, DeutschGAF has this week left to grab a DL code at Ninty Zones for an AC theme:
Grabbed the code for this today from a German NZone.

I think we will get a Nintendo Direct this week.

Also, when I was in the shower I came up with a song.

To the tune of Hands Open by Snow Patrol.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v5IeT9ZRiRw

It's hard to argue when
We have so many great games
But fans still misbehave and it
keeps petty fights going

With our Fans open, and our hype growing
I just keep hoping
For a new Direct

Why would I sabotage
the best thing that I have
Well, this unadultered hype
Can't keep going forever...

With our fans open, and our hype growing
I just keep hoping
For a new Direct

It's not as easy as willing it all to be right
Gotta be more than hoping it's right
I wanna hear you hype like you really mean it
Unveil NX, tired with joy

[x2]

Put Kimishima on
and we'll play your favorite game
"Amiibo" burst to life and your
Internal data remembers Toad

With our fans open, and our hype growing
I just keep hoping
For a new Direct

Next Nintendo Direct will be in February with Smash DLC with a 99.9% of probability.
I bet between 02/08-02/10.

2 months between directs is the most classic distance, since the last full direct was on NOVEMBER 13 ... 2 months after is January 13.

Also, smash dlc don't need a direct ... it was already announced. Just a trailer outside of a direct is more than enoght

If anything, they'll just be like "oh btw remember that Smash DLC, it's out today after this direct's done!" That's pretty much how most of the DLC characters were released, save for Mewtwo.

I would imagine that new Boxboy would be confirmed via Direct as well. Also kind of hoping Nintendo finally brings over Kersploosh 2 over, considering Japan has had it for some time.

Between OG 3DS, 2DS, and 3DS XL, which should be easiest on the hands?

I'm thinking of doing a system transfer from my OG 3DS to either my 2DS or 3DS XL.

It mostly depends on the size of your hands. It sounds like you already have said systems, so just try holding one and pressing buttons for a few minutes and see how it feels.

I have medium hands, but they're pretty thin. I wish I had bigger, stronger hands though. It's mainly my pointer knuckle or sometimes wrist that hurts on my right hand. I like my regular 3DS, but holding it for a long time is aggravating. Luckily it's not my thumbs.

And yeah, I have 3 systems and I do pick them up to see how they feel, but I haven't done a system transfer for a few weeks. I wish I could have my digital games on all of them at once!
