Shitty Engrish name notwithstanding, this manga looks interesting. Though I've always had an enormous issue with battle/fighting/horror manga that is unable/unwilling to show heavier violence. It's like, the manga is based around a series of death battles. Not showing them kinda loses the impact of the series. Especially when it used really weird paneling for Shouko's death so I just didn't really understand what happened.

Nice touch on Eto still being listed separately as a S rank ghoul, so I guess it's because Kaneki got that information from Nico that he couldn't have known from the fight against her.

I'm guessing that the author is trying to make Kaneki unlikeable at the moment which is why we're barely getting any inner dialogue from him.

SoTaku panel was the best thing.

Azami was so into Soma's dad. Wow, and it wasnt just one txt bubble or panel but he went on and on and on. I hope we get some flashbacks of it, I wonder if he was the type to follow him all around looking up to him and tasting all his dishes and everything.

yeah i'm 100% sure kaneki isn't a dick due to the fact that he didn't kill off tsukiyama (he mentioned it with touka vs ayato in the original TG, that if Ayato wanted to kill Touka he would've done it right there and then, he basically did the same with tsukiyama along with Chie stating the obvious)

there could be a twist but either way we're not going to be in his perspective for a while

i just don't like his arima wannabe look though because arima has never been an interesting character in the entire series honestly

toriko dude is the rob liefeld of manga only that liefeld himself seems like a decent person whereas the toriko guy is a child predator so he's actually worse than liefeld

I am enjoying Black Clover so much more than MHA lately. The pacing is so off in MHA, it doesn't ever build to anything. Why couldn't Oumagadoki have been popular instead....

Is Vash clone with a decommissioned jaw, girl with a mop for a head or a guy who literally wears the face of another man really that indistinct ? Like, I can see where you're coming from, at times, when Ishida introduces a batch of new characters I feel similarly but as of now, (not counting new Q's,) the only people who haven't done anything meaningful are the new Aogiri guns from Yamori's stable and Aura + Shinme Haisaki but then, I don't think you're supposed to know or care about them at this point.

I'm rather confused on the timing behind Kaneki's hunt for Eto. If he wanted to go after her he should have done so immediately after the events of the previous arc and not 6 months after the fact.

Slowly coming to like "muhhh boy" Mougan. He rubbed me the wrong way when introduced but now he is apparently the creator and winner of CCG candy contest. How much more based can you get ? lol at everyone outside of Suzuya, Ui and Aura shooting eye daggers at Kaneki.

Still hoping this is Hinami&Arata breakout arc.

I am enjoying both equally. I will say Black clover has better pacing which is surprising. MHA is awesome but this training arc is just the gun

A bath house owner copes with her husband's sudden disappearance as her own past silently haunts her. Despite the premise being seemingly suitable for some kind of Gone Girl level drama, the actual manga itself is very subdued in tone, and it's so grounded that the subject matter seems to fade into the background of the more interesting characters and setting.

I guess I liked those two enough that I'm just going to go down the rest of the list at this point.

the married couple gains a secret between each other, develops feelings and goes through divorce

but it was nicely done and really gives the feeling they are growing up and moving past the names they were given by their classmates

the ending was pretty sweet too, rather glad how this ended

I'm thinking about this too, just waiting for the thread to over react to the next major arc that has impact then fly though the fluff like I did when I initially read and caught up. Then again I'd have to skip though it in US Shonen Jump so I might as well keep reading it.

Black Label is just weird. A finished spinoff which is a direct continuation of a work in progress which gives closure to the work. I don't understand how it got made.

Man from Vol 5-7 things really connect and turn into a masterpiece.... War is relentless, no mercy is shown, the lines are blurred and the enemy that we must hate is more complex and filled with sub groups then what they make themselves out to be.

I truly prefer this manga format version more so then the original aired anime. It being in a glorious hardcover format and with those sleek quality papers and bonus coloured papers adds to the experience. This is a Char/Deikun story as much as the first volumes try to focus on Amuro. At first it seems simply a assassination revenge story but later gets complex with morals and views that make it seem that maybe the reality you assumed was a lie to begin with. Onwards to the present as I delve into Volume 8 and beyond.

More detail.... It feels this is the real finished version that they wanted to express. It feels well made and even the colour pages I believe are water painted (well the original colour page before the scan it for reprint).

So far I would recommend this over the original anime.... but they already did two (soon to be three) movie episodes about Char's past which spans Vol 5 and 6.... I watched the first movie episode and it was basically the exact same thing as the book but with an amazing soundtrack and good budget animation. They also teased a few months ago that they might do the same for the whole present war (Vol 1-4 at least maybe Vol 8-12 too). If so and if they are all in that movie quality then I would say that would be also a definitive version to experience the main series.

you probably just don't like/care about the CCG enough if you don't think they are

By now I somehow doubt the manga can get back to being somewhat good. Even the art feels like it's degrading.

This is probably the "Haru gets rejected" arc. Everyone is going to get sequentially rejected.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely that Raku is going to end up a depressed forever alone alcoholic.
