I wonder if Psycho is on the other side. No one invited Mascara.

Brock and Roman will be the last 2 standing. Roman will have Brock beat when Hunter or Vince or Hunter AND Vince interfere, costing Roman the match and leading to Brock joining the Authority (and maybe even ditching Heyman). They have to do whatever they can to turn Brock into a true heel if they don't want Roman to get boo'd out of the building when he beats him at Mania.

Everyone here is so confident that Jimmy Haitch is going to win that you're all going to feel real silly when Barack does.

I already cracked this code a few days ago.
Looks like the third party posters are picking up scoops from Observer.

Based on Meltzer's comments; I am guessing they are trying to convince Rock to wrestle Brock, but have HHH / Roman as either the Main Event (if Rock can't) or 2nd from the top if Rock comes back to face Brock (he has his guaranteed rematch from losing to Cena all those WMs ago)

Why do people think Rock needs "convincing"? By all indications he would wrestle if he could, but he has zero say in the matter. It's not Rock's choice to make. He has to be cleared by the insurance companies, and that's not likely to happen.

is this because he got injured in the Cena match at WM ?

You're right, the issue is convincing his movie studio / take out own private insurance in order to do so.

Yeah, your post just made me wax nostalgic.

Unrelated, can I just say I find it fascinating how NXT has somehow managed to put gimmicks/plots/hooks on wrestlers I would normally not care about and made me at least slightly care about them (e.g. Corbin's silly "I hate indies" thing, Eva Marie's heat) while the main show flounders to build up any interest in the talented folks they have?

It's just entirely baffling to me that they can miss so badly, but really it shouldn't be.

The show is simple and logical with a clear direction that doesn't have a 70 year old man and his yes men constantly changing their minds or second guessing talent. Talent are actually allowed to experiment and create a persona themselves instead of it being manufactured. Plus being only an hour a week where not everyone on the roster shows up every week and with a special event only once every couple months helps reduce the risk of over exposure. Every week not starting with a long ass, boring promo helps a bunch too.

Becky was the one hurt the most by the promotion last summer. She was really starting to get over in NXT and was the one designated to eat pins for awhile. Luckily that's sorted itself out recently and this feud with Flair is paying off.
At least until this feud is over... I'll be surprised if she beats Charlotte to win the title though I'm expecting at the very least Charlotte vs Sasha at WrestleMania, maybe a triple threat or four way because why not?

haha, that American Alpha-promo was tremendous

edit: booking Crews as the face in peril against guys like Dillinger doesn't work IMO. don't see the point of keeping him in NXT much longer

I think Crews still needs a good amount of time more to work on his persona and mic skills and there's something missing for me when it comes to his ring work. He's ahead of plenty of main roster talent but I don't know, his matches for me don't flow very well.

I found out today that they have only announced like the half of the entrants to the Rumble this year. This has me excited. Due to the title stip that hopefully means less jobbers and more high profile legends than previous years.

Last year they already had like 20 of their job guys along with a couple of their midcarders by now.

Edit: Also, you guys should check out the press conference for UFC 197: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AQ7dlmZIFU

If WWE can ever do business with Conor McGregor they should throw every dollar they have at him.

Guess we should expect an obligatory Hacksaw Jim Duggan appearance in the Rumble.

You saying that has made me try and remember the last time the Women's/Diva's championship was on the line at Mania. Last one I remember was that Mickie James/Trish Stratus match at Mania 22.

I love those rumors of putting the tough enough guy in the rumble, basically pushing the match and storyline to the side for a bit just to punish someone. Typical WWE/Wrasslin bullying bullshit.
A "Be A Star" chant needs to break out on Sunday if they devote a portion of the Rumble to having Josh come out and take a bunch of stiff shots and finishers.

Bonus points if they're able to legit concuss him.

I guess it's about time to resub to the WWE Network.

How was the Ric Flair SCSA podcast, worth checking out?

What if Seth got the magical healing serum that Cena uses to recover in half the time and returns at the Rumble to set up a Rollins/Reigns/Ambrose Triple Threat at 'Mania?

Give up on this fantasy now.

It only ends in heartbreak and disappointment.

On the Videogamer Wrestling podcast, one of the guys pointed out that in the UpUpDwnDwn video for the Madden Finals, Seth has no knee brace, no crutches and lifts up a large trophy with no problem before walking off.

It was filmed the same night as his Slammy appearance.

My Royal Rumble predictions

Undercard matches where they do the bare minimum featuring lots of standing around, do a move, stand around, shitty finish.

The a rumble match where no one seemingly knows how to tease eliminations or do anything more interesting than punches.

Result doesn't matter as Fastlane just alters it when needed.

Remember what they did to Daniel Puder in the 2005 Rumble? They beat the SHIT out of him.

Is there any high-profile opponent for Reigns at Mania that doesn't end with him being booed pretty heavily? I think even Triple H would get the lion's share of the cheers.

Rumble prediction: it's going to be a let down, just like every Rumble match. There isn't even a good card to back it up this year.

Actually, I contest this. I'm expecting jack shit fuck all, the worst they can do is confirm my expectations.

Oh, my sweet summer child. Jack shit fuck all would be positively amazing compared to the worst they can do. You don't want to see the worst they can do!

Real talk though, the Rumble match blows. It always has done, it always will. It's about cool, memorable moments and surprises. Without those, a Rumble match is nothing.

That's still the best case scenario for them if they're hell-bent on ram-rodding face Reigns down our throats.

If they really want to guarantee cheers for Roman, add some stips like "no more Authority... ever" and stick to it.
Or "Vince retires and Dunn gets fired". Hell, I'll cheer for Roman if those are the stips.

There's no easier way to guarantee cheers for Reigns than to vow that RAW will no longer be shit post-Mania and con us suckers into believing it.
