Every single game is developed on a PC. God damn, the Master Race are a bunch of fucking beggars.

Holy shit the salt. I've had the game preordered on PS4 since the FFXV re-reveal. Duscae had abysmal performance and I'd be happy if they eventually released a PC version that ran at higher framerate/resolution. That's all there is to it. No "master race" bullshit here.

Listening to them go on about technical stuff like LOD in the shadows just depresses me. It makes me think they care too much about graphics and presentation rather than the important things.

Nah, it just means they're filling time and don't want to show too much.

FF has always been concerned with graphics and presentation.

But there's been plenty of other stuff discussed.

This is how games are made man. The technical things are the most important things.

Wake me up when X(X-2) and XII come to PC.
Ugh this really isn't the thread but X/X-2 were leaked in that Steam database thing so may or may not be happening. But it doesn't take a genius to notice that SE has slowly been putting up some form of all the mainline entries on Steam.

A n y w a y, still loving the animations and I think they'll be one of the things that shines visually in the final game. I still hope we see some uncompressed native output footage soon though.

Important things like graphics and presentation?

At the same time, the developers are the ones who are making the game. It starts and ends with them. I'm sure Tabata was projecting his own feelings when he said that, too. Especially with the reboot and how he's been received (Lord Nomura-sama's glorious vision, Tabata is ruining everything!, etc.).

Sure, in the end everyone is a human being, and we have feelings. I just think that him expressing that isn't going to change anything. The best thing for everyone is really just for the game to finally release so it can be judged on its merits. Good thing it seems like that's finally happening.

Combat looks so much better from the demo that we had gotten to play, especially the aerial attacks. Now it's looking much more like KH gameplay, faster combat and not sluggish slow.

Sounds like a new demo in March?

It's the last active time report in March. They're revealing the release date, price, and all the final information to share.

If the release date is after E3, I'm sure we will get another final trailer there. And.. I doubt it's releasing earlier.

You cannot separate technology from a videogame. Tech is just as important as game design.

Lightning has become Etro thanks to a paradox from XIII-2 that XV's world takes place off of.

Caius and Yeul are Bahamut and Leviathan. Snow is Ifrit and Sera is Siren. Hope is Carbuncle.

Final Fantasy has been a technical showcase for a long time

I don't give a rats ass if you're buying the game or not. You and many others constant port begging is annoying as fuck.

Yeah. I'm just of the mind that this is a unique case for everyone involved, especially since people are so attached to the promise of a game long ago. So, I look at it a bit differently and do sympathize. We all know that they're going to be judged with "Was Final Fantasy XV worth the 10 year wait?" comments when the time comes. As much as I'd like it to be judged on its own merits, it won't be. I think that's where their frustration might come from.

I wonder how much CG there'll be this time. The FFXIII games got progressively less CG as they went on although I assume that was more due to budget than anything else. But their in engine rendering is so good now that with decent IQ and motion blur the in engine scenes could nearly eliminate the need for CG.

It's impressive how you managed to cram so much obnoxiousness into two sentences.

The graphics are good enough that in-engine would be more than fine for me.

So did they show anything else in the Taipei stream or did they cover everything in the ATR? I didn't watch that.

The March event will be truly amazing. Showing the game off in a very near complete state. When they mentioned pricing I assume they'll announce a CE. I really can't wait. 2 months. Going to request the 31st off so I can stay up and soak all of this in.

That comment from Tabata was in regards to the interviewer simplifying Luminous excels at lighting, nothing else. :p He went on to say it's okay for fans to simplify things but not the interviewer who's working with him.

This is what happens when developers decide to give detailed update to fans at a regular basis (or fans requested it, whatever). This kind of discussion can happen intensely during development, but it's not the usual kind of info to be conveyed to the players. Don't worry about them caring too much about graphics and presentation.

Expecting release on Dec 30th here in the states. Lol.

Game is looking good, can't wait to play it. Also excited for the March event. Looking forward to hear what's in a collectors edition.
