Knack II in development for PS4, according to animator's résumé

GAF you deserve to burn in hell for this.

We could have Jumping Flash VR. And no we won't have both... or at least we won't have something that could have been made instead so if not JF VR then Ape Escape or Crash or any other game that could have been made instead of this uninspired (yet enjoyable) platformer.

PS: game is good, it doesn't mean they shouldn't focus on better franchises or even better make a new IP (yes this is a new IP but it's not that good to deserve to be followed by many games).

Where is the new real Sony systems platformer? Crash was so good :(

I don't know why this is casing so much butthurt. It's probably a pretty cheap game to make it won't stop other games from being developed.

Because (a significant portion of) GAF doesn't like the idea that games are made for anyone but them. Or the idea that no one in the industry actually gives a single fuck what GAF thinks.

The existence of Knack 2 confirms both of those things to be true. And it pisses them off.

Knack on harder difficulties will kick your ass. The only frustrating thing are the bad checkpoint placements.

Yup, they need to work on the checkpoints. Thankfully I was playing through it on co-op so it made it more manageable, but I could definitely see it being a nightmare for solo play.

It's validation that enough people enjoyed it, purchased it, and supported it to make a sequel financially viable.

This is basic shit, guys. Are you intentionally acting obtuse because it's Knack, or are you really this dense all the time? Dense like when Knack gathers a ton of relics to fight the Guardians in the valley in chapter 13.

So we're equating a purchase of the game to those people enjoying it? Because I'm pretty sure this thread shows that isn't the case.

I beat it on solo. There were a few controller breaking moments but I felt like a god when I beat them. I wish there was a death counter lol.

Personally, I don't see why Knack II would make any less room for Crash Bandicoot: The Ocho. They're different genres that have at times borrowed aspects of each other's genres in turn.

Neither of these are the same. Knack is a lot more like Crash.
And the demographic is: something that anyone from kids to grown up VG vets can enjoy.

And yes, it's very much meant to be "Crash-like". Unless you'd want to not believe the guy who actually worked on both of these IPs. The parallels are fairly obvious.

I think no one is actually mad right?

We all just can't stop laughing.

Which is fitting for the absolute joke that is Knack.

Knack II to run a train on your favorite IP sales as well. Prepare thy tear glands, cause it shall be a bloodbath.

OMG!!! I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES!! THANK YOU SONY SO MUCH FOR THIS!! I'VE BEEN ASKING FOR THIS FOR A LONG TIME AND EVEN SENT VERENDUS PMS REGARDING THIS!! THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

Is Knack the new FF13 for gaf? Popular to hate it?

Both were good games.

Final Fantasy 13 was at least pretty and you could laugh at how dumb the plot is.

Knack lacks both of those.

Knack was bad on release and it is bad now.

You can like it though but, lets not compare those 2. [Insert CernybathtubKnackjoke.gif here.] Good for people who want a sequel though.

I don't give a fuck about what GAF wants out of the industry, I know for a fact that on launch day for PS4 in the US that I bought a bad game.

I postponed buying Shadowfall (which was getting poor reception but was a much better game than Knack) to get this and I stil ended up with shit. Nah, fuck this game.

I got Knack for 15€ in a sale. It was a pleasant surprise, I found it pretty enjoyable.

+ graphics. The colorful world, and the effects on some materials looked great.
+ gameplay. It was both enjoyable and challenging, and it felt pretty responsive and polished. Some more platforming would be welcome, also.

- Soundtrack. The quality of the orchestra soundtrack is very good, but it didn't feel like it fit with the game. I would have prefered something different, something like classic Sonic or Mario Soundtracks.

- - Story. It was too bland. Didn't like the human characters look either.

It wasn't a supurb game but I quite enjoyed it. If you like action platformers, I don't see how you would at least not get some amusement out of it.

you know boo boo
we may disagree on things
you may not like my twitter
but god damn do I respect you
fuck knack

For me this is the biggie. It needs to be a true platformer instead of a beat 'em up with jumping.

And this is exactly why it's nothing like Crash. Crash is a platformer (that had beat em up side-story games, coincidentally, but those side games still had more platforming than Knack does) and Knack is a brawler that has jumping.

If this is true, it just shows once again what I shitty job Yoshida is doing.
And yes, I played and finished Knack 1.

In other words, you fall into the first camp but not the second. Ok.

Exactly. The game is nothing like crash. I don't know how some people draw the comparison. lol
