It was almost unusable for some fights. Better off with Lifegems at times.
*Evade combo attack by boss*

Thanks From.
to be quite honest there was no such thing as ''balance'' in DkS2 pvp scene until months of patches, the first Dark Souls was also broken at launch (with ridiculous rings or spells like ~Tranquil Walk of Peace) but it wasn't even as close as the sequel. which had a lot of spells (Hexes especially), weapons and items completely not balanced. one weapon even had ''a press X repeatedly to auto-parry with no downsides'' thing, to the point where everyone grinded for hours to get it (very rare drop) and you'd see people using it constantly in the arena.dark souls 1 had garbage netcode compared to the second making the ridic dark magic oko builds way better than they should've been. hence why that was much more balanced in 2. i loved patrolling the forest in 1 but i'd be lying if i didn't say the netcode made the game much less skill based than 2's pvp which was far superior based on balance and netcode consistency alone
seems like he's fighting the Tree whatever boss, he could get far if no one kills the stream. anyway it's unwatchable for me :[, the screen is freezing every two seconds.http://www.ustream.tv/channel/v5zZPNSTEuT i think this is the most advance.

the main problem with Dark Souls and its netcode was the lagstab, aka backstab done thanks to the lag. you could say dark magic was OP but it wasn't out until the dlc released and iirc it was somewhat nerfed pretty soon.
tl;dr I won't be surprised at all if this game is in a similar state as far as pvp goes, at least until the first patches.
it's part of the fun, to some degree.

I kind of liked that. It's a shame it was ruined by the other available healing items.*Evade combo attack by boss*

I never had an issue with that. You guys are just bad at timing your healing. It might be slower but that's on you guys for using Estus at the wrong time.
i never said the PVP wasn't trash pre patches in any of these games lol... souls games are all notorious for being insanely different from day 1 till final patch. some of my fondest memories of DS2 were going into boss fights at launch and everyone throwing lightning spears like pikachu. Now you get what, like three spears per attunement or whatever XD. it's part of the fun of playing these games on release, how different they are a year later
All these streamers getting the English pc version three weeks earlier. Still pissed about that

Wow at this moveset:

It looks like a dagger paired with a Greatsword as one weapon. Could be one of the weapons that the Abyss Watchers use given the look.

IS THATGREATSWORD ??ARTORIAS
Also notice how the focus/mana bar doesn't go down, which means that move is just a part of that weapon's ordinary moveset. So it even a battle art either...
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on importing this... I got my JP PSN account made. The hype is so real for me.. >_<
There are no "Japanese review sites" like IGN/Gamespot if that's what you mean.Have any JP review sites started publishing reviews yet?
Sick moveset. Surely a boss weapons ???
Maybe all boss weapons are like Bloodborne a bit, with funky/nice moveset

We can see stat requirement, 18 str 20 dex.
you can respec in this game too, it was confirmed. no idea on how easy it is or how many times you can do it per character though.God, it's going to suck when monthly nerfs start coming in a game without Soul Vessels to respec. I really hope From is cautious about what they nerf into uselessness this time around.
