I am fine with this as long as we start alternating every year between WWII, Modern and Future combat.

why would they next years game is advanced warfare 2 and yes the first ended open for sequels, only black ops would go back but hell even black ops 3 ended open for sequels.

Ugh. I just want COD to go back to being a simple game. Yes it's an easy game to grasp but I'm tired of the 20 or so scorestreaks/killstreaks...some of which are overpowered and just ruin the experience especially if you are entering an ongoing game. Black Ops 3 is prime example of this.

Wallrunning is fine. I liked it in Black Ops 3 but if they got rid of it, which I doubt they will, I won't miss it.

Maybe less attachments and honestly get rid of the whole pick 10 system or whatever it is lol.

Call of Duty is made for kids that were in diapers when the first game in the series was released and they eat that shit up and ask for more.

I'm not even being sarcastic, CoD is a 13 year old series at this point and that is roughly the same age as most of the people I hear on a headset in multiplayer. They don't want simple, they want it to keep getting crazier and crazier, with more and more ridiculous customization options, and that's how we've reached this point.

The irony of this is that CoD started out as a Teen-rated series that was actually quite mature, and is now a Mature-rated series that has become quite childish.

Why must you infect every thread about black ops 3 or call of duty with your nonsense ?

The thing is, seeing what BLOPS III is starting to gestate into, he's right, especially the microtransactions. Granted, the actual gameplay for BLOPS III was the best in the series, no doubt, but Treyarch seems to be slow dripping the micro transaction bullshit in.

I have said this every year since Ghosts, but i think i'm done. Was not in to Future War settings of the last three - and a major shift like this from the C team at Infinity Ward - nah, I'm out this year. I think I'll wait for Battlefield 5 info.

7th gen: Enough of WWII
Late 7th Gen: Enough of Modern Warfare
8th: Enough of future warfare go back to WWII.

How about enough of FPS from EA and Activision?

There's no quickscoping? What is this then?

Snipers have little to zero auto aim. I believe that one has none. That's what you call good centering, aim and probably a bit of luck. Snipers are the most balanced they have ever been in black ops 3.

Yeah, this is pissing me off with Halo 5 as well (I just want the Halo 2 BR GODDAMIT). You dont even get those COD weapons if you own the season pass. It's fucking bullshit.
You still have to prestige if you want to unlock everything and I'll be a 5 Star General forever so it has been bullshit ever since TY thought it was a good idea to suddenly treat your MP existence like a Diablo skill tree.

He might have a point if Activision didn't force Treyarch to do the mircotransactions/weapon drops.

So Battlefield might be set in WW1 and CoD will be sci fi? I'm okay with this, good variety.

I hope so for BF, so tired of modern shooters.

The gun balancing with many less auto guns in WW shooters seems more fun to me too, plus the historical setting was always more fun to me as well.

Oh, just realized this was about my post. I've had the other guy ignored for months.

Yeah, I did initially enjoy the ground gameplay of BO3 and I didn't mind the supply drops because at first you couldn't buy them and they didn't have anything but reskinned knifes. Now that you can buy them and they included new weapons it's no better than gambling. I stopped playing because I'm not going to support that shit in a $60 title. Make COD multiplayer F2P and I won't care

If there is even more jumping... Perhaps COD is not for me anymore; I started to hate it starting with BO2 and BO3 did absolutely nothing for me in multiplayer. It's pretty disappointing for me.

This is really Activision oversaturating the market with Titanfall clones to deny West/Zampella any significant market share, long past any significant need to do so, right?

I want MW4. I want my SPAS-12.

People fatigued with modern and future settings?

The return of past settings is just a matter of time (yes, I'm aware of BF5 being WWI, but I'm gonna wait before I get hyped for that)

Given that black ops 3 was the best selling video game of 2015 by a wide, wide margin I'd say probably an unqualified yes.

I genuinely don't think the setting factors THAT much into people buying cod, they just buy it because it's cod and everyone else has it. I think the Black Ops branding probably helped a lot with the last game too.

He might have a point if Activision didn't force Treyarch to do the mircotransactions/weapon drops.

Even if activision forced them they own treyarch. Treyarch makes the best selling cods now and if they can't convince activision weapons in supply drops are the wrong direction then IW has no hope of stoping them.

I wouldn't be surprised if supply drops get added to single player and other modes in the next cod.

If activision did it like halo and funded map packs for free and didn't split the community. I could see the model working but as it stands most of the multiplayer community is very unhappy. Even tmartn put out a negative video about supply drops and he never bites the hand that feeds.

I have spent $150 on this cod and only have a fraction of the content that's bullshit anyway you slice it.

Would be funny if they took extraction from Ghosts and turned it into it's own game. The aliens you fought in Ghosts have mutated and become more human like and the plot of the game is invading their planet using their own ships because the government wants the source of their energy to make better weapons and kill all the aliens from their source.

Give me shields and long TTK times and more verticality and I'm in

Halo 5 is already out.

Hah, yea, what he said. I would love if they upped the ttk times at least a little, though. I know people give tons of proof that the kill times haven't changed in Call of Duty, but they sure as fuck feel faster to me. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you're going to have short kill times, put some fucking recoil on your guns and make it harder to aim.

Who even asked for this? I want them to go back in time so badly. A WW2 setting with amazing graphics would have me drooling.
