Please no. We don't need any of that shit. Rod even said in the interview that it was a mistake to try to steer Gears away from what it primarily became (a game accentuated by its movement, not by its guns).

I had to post in the xbox.com forums to get my Gears BC codes..

I hate that they're doing it this way. Whenever it's not a physical code packed with the game or emailed to me at the time of purchase it always goes wrong for me. I have the worst luck with this shit. I didn't get my BC Gears codes for 3-4 weeks after my friends did. I had the discs already so I didn't care but for some reason I got mine way after everyone else.

If I miss out on that first week of beta access just trying to obtain my code I'll be bummed.

We aren't doing pre-loads for the beta.

We will be getting early access codes out starting on the 18th. This is very much a real beta and not a marketing demo. We are needing to gradually increase population up to test services and server load so we can't do preloads early on. The beta isn't a huge download.

Looks like I may be missing out on the beta rewards after all since I don't have an XB1 yet and won't be buying one until at least after E3 or when Gears 4 launches.
