Every time I hear of a delay and the feeling of disappointment starts to come to me, I think of the Miyamoto quote and come to realize that the Devs and Pubs are actually doing us a favor giving the game more time and money (Up to a certain extent, of course).

It will only be shit if they (or any other games) start putting content specific for this new PS4. If it's the same game with a little graphical difference I don't see how it'll be "shit". I mean as a console owner, I'm used to PC gamers playing the same game with better graphics, it doesn't make any of them "shit" to me.

More than graphics (and really, if the game had prettier graphics it would already be bullshit as it would undermine the purchase of early adopters), i'm more concerned about performance. Seeing how poorly first party devs optimize for the current console, with barely obtaining stable 30 in most cases, and looking at how little devs care about that.

I think the main worry is not that the NEO version is just prettier. It's that first party devs who work closely with sony will favour the NEO version to push it, at the detriment of the classic one who might run with poor performance, just at a lower "acceptable" threshhold so it's considered playable

Everyone wins. Guerrilla has always been solid in terms of performance and visuals. That won't change now.

I have a gaming PC so I only care about exclusives I'm interested in that are console only.

So far the only games on the PS4 that have fit that definition are Bloodborne, Nights of Azure, and Until Dawn.

Okay well they released other games, sorry you don't like them. R&C, Driveclub, Uncharted in a month, Horizon is still coming out a few months later than anticipated. This year is still Persona 5, TLG, Alienation, I can't believe people still try to push this no games narrative.

Third-party exclusives aren't good unless there's a good reason why it couldn't be on another system other than money.

Fair enough but the point stands, if you are trying to justify the purchase, whether its 3rd party exclusive or first party, from the consumer stand point, its a good thing for that base. They have games that are justifying the system.

And in a lot of cases, they are exclusive for good reason.

I don't think Fable Legends and Phantom Dust count as "high profile". I mean, apparently Sony Santa Monica's cancelled new IP was far more costly.

High profile aka in the public eye. SSM's game was never shown off to us and didn't get a fancy E3 trailer. Fable Legends was touted as one of the pillars of MS's "greatest lineup in Xbox history" and was part of that intro montage that they used twice. Not to mention it was in the hands of people via beta.

There was also the untitled game Black Tusk studios was working on which again a trailer was shown off for, but got cancelled.

MS's cancellations were just much more apparent and public than any other company's have been recently. That's my point.
