I'm usually pretty chill about this stuff and don't blame Sony for this stuff happening... but 2 weeks is just too much, especially if an entire continent seems to be getting the game early.

There will be massive spoilers everywhere.

Release. The. Game.

Damn thing should have never been delayed the last time anyway.

Worthless.

No big deal really, people sometimes get games early. I received my Uncharted HD Collection a week before release (thanks Simply Games) and while I'd love to play U4 early, I've waited this long now, so I can wait for my Steelbook version to ship in 2 weeks.

I'm playing through Ratchet & Clank at the moment and loving it, so that should keep me busy until release.

Secretly hoping for a decision by Sony for an early release, but don't see it happening tbh. Guess I'll do my best to avoid anything that looks like it could be bait for spoilers.

Just woken up. So it's definitely out there? Which retailer on which continent released it? Are they continuing to sell it or is it only the lucky few?

It's pretty easy to avoid U4 spoilers - just follow GAF (spoiler thread aside, once it arrives). And there's that feisty Overwatch console beta round the corner. ;)

And you can't do that when the game is released at the intended date?

Anyway, is it typical for a game to enter stocks so early, or did ND set the third delayed release date so further away to not miss it a fourth time, and comfortably finished so earlier than the designated release date?

I'm in Asia region but some of the local resellers in my country already sell few copies, presumably imported from EU region.

Naughty Dog's development schedule was for a release date yesterday. The delay was to ship a larger amount of copies to stores before launch, probably to make sure that the sales records it breaks aren't hampered by not having enough copies to sell week one.

My post was positively dripping in sarcasm. Sorry. Though it is depressing that I could indeed watch the entire game nigh on two weeks before I can even buy it. Hardly an ideal situation for ND I'm sure.

From the EU I was somehow sold a US copy of TLOU Remastered, and I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference if not for DLC incompatibility. Patches and everything work fine, but any DLC would have to come from the correct region's store.

That's the reason I want US copy. No shit Naughty Dog will have DLC for MP and I don't want to swap my US account to EU

I wasn't really sure so I hedged my bets by adding a :p on the end. Didn't seem to work for either of us. :)

The store that sold me U3 a week early just updated their facebook page with U4's cover. Two weeks ago they stated they'd sell it from april 26th.
I'm calling them as soon as they open.

jeuxvideo.com forums are generally useful to know availability around France but it will be flooded with spoilers in 2 hours. Unless they get their shit together and put some good mods. I'm not getting near that place.
