They're my home team and I still feel nothing over that sad L. They've played dreadfully for majority of the series. Even then, I don't see them getting the title, so I've resigned to the fact that no matter how far they get, they're going home without rings.

Then again, I'm a Celtics fan, and it's been 7/8 seasons since their last championship, so I'm swimming in losses with this rookie team getting consistently destroyed first round. Least it wasn't a sweep this year.

They were pointing out how these sections actually helped the game because of the quality of the writing and how they positively impacted the game's pacing, and how these sections may have helped to make the general gaming public more open to "walking simulator" type of games, like Dear Esther or Firewatch, that are 90% story with light gameplay.

They even quoted one of the game's creators talking about how he played The Graveyard, and how he was fascinated by how it was just about giving you this quiet mood, and how that helped inspire a quiet section of Uncharted 2.

So Eurogamer put up an article about how Uncharted was similar to these games, calling it a "walking simulator in an action game's clothing." They weren't even criticizing the game. They were trying to give it credit for its quieter moments.

So a ton of dumb people came in, looked at the title, and decided to shitpost about how the article is clickbait and Eurogamer is trash, clearly without ever looking at the actual article they were complaining about.

Bans ensued.

Thx for the explanation so I don't have to wade through that thread. I feel I've been a bit detached from video games recently. Feels good as it seems a whole lot of drama passed me by recently. I did get that Shantae game from the recent Humble Bundle though. Good times <3

Doom is pretty fun

Kind of a nice mix between the old and the new.

At the start of the game it tries to plotdump you but your character rips the monitor out of the wall and throws it down the hall.

The article writer needs to remember that social media platforms are just websites, no different than NeoGAF or any other site that can be run how the owners and ISPs see fit within the bounds of the law. Twitter doesn't have to provide freedom of speech and it doesn't:

Azealia more than broke this rule, and being on the public stage there's no way she wasn't getting reported to hell and back. The article writer does mention reporting his own trolls and this is a separate argument on whether those trolls are on the same level as Banks (and again, I doubt as many people were reporting his trolls as people were reporting Banks). Regardless putting social media under this huge umbrella (ex: Facebook is much stricter than Twitter in regards to rules, but Facebook gets brought up a couple of times in this article to argue Bank's rights have been violated) for not following freedom of speech is no different than the cries the BCT's own fan club makes every time they get banned from NeoGAF and provide "thought provoking" arguments towards moderation like "Oh Slayven can say nigga but if we say it, we get banned? What happened to freedom of speech?". The writer is right though that there should be more support for black owned sites/social media platforms from "Black Twitter", in addition to more black people creating their own platforms, especially when black people bring in so much revenue for these platforms.

Fable is the biggest waste of game franchise i've seen. Like they were dcent games that sold pretty well between the three main installments and had crossover appeal mixing the WRPG genre with something similar to animal Crossing or sims. Though looking at it Mattrick basically took and killed all of the Microsft's European studios by doing dumb shit like replacing the head of Lionhead with a Kinect Sports guy.

I'm hoping Gaf's dream of a new AAA Crash Bandicoot game comes true, so like people can realize like Star Fox Zero you probably don't want to play a PS1 game in 2016/17.

The only way it'd work would be a new era type of platformer with Crash in it. People will be livid because it isn't "true" to its roots. Give em what they want though. Just give me Legend of Dragoon in return. That's all I ask

Considering Crash 2 and 3 have aged pretty damn well....I wouldn't mind.
