Yeah, no. I could create a twitter account and say a bunch of shit that can be easily guessed too.

It's the week before E3, shit like this happens every year..

The lust for crash is so puzzling.

On the one hand there is such a 'ughhh remaster station 4' attitude and then you have people begging for a dead game frachise with an even deader charcter mascot.

Crash is a relic of the bygone era. Maybe sony was just teasing the uncharted 4 mini game all along. There is no crash revival/remaster/remake.

What happened to championing new IPs?

Out of all the thread I have read today, this is probably the shitiest post all day. Crash is nowhere close to your ''bygone era''.

The only thing I actually want to see now is Jack T again. I don't even care that could only come about by Agent somehow being real and Sony somehow getting through red tape to get back a past employee. I just want to see Jackie boy.

Sounds like basic logic rather then sources.

Square probably wants this E3 to be about FF15 and Deus Ex and not a game not coming for another 2 years.

And Crash might be there but I would not get hopes up on it being what you want. Sony isnt going to roll out the red carpet and drop confetti for a Vicarious Visions Crash game

How so? Mascot platformer created in the early 90s to capitalize on the success of other mascot platformers that were the trend back then... I'd say it's the definition of a game from a bygone era. It's not even that good, or was even that popular.

Oh hey, more of this bullshit spewing.

Look, you can come in and bitch about people liking something all you want, but the fact of the matter is, a LOT of people enjoy these games, think they hold up, and want to see a sequel. No one's forcing you to play it, and no one's forcing you to read the threads or post in them. There are plenty of threads surrounding games you like, I'm sure, and if all you're going to do is come in and not even say "I personally don't like these games, and here's why" but INSTEAD say "These games were never good" and leave, why bother?

I don't expect FFVIIR to be there at all. It'll be all Final Fantasy XV and some Kingdom Hearts III. They'll put attention back on FFVIIR after the release of XV.

Oh look, another post that downplay Crash's popularity. The game was actually very popular back then and certainly remained so, if you look at the PSN sale of Crash.

Well for Sony we are presumably getting some sort of footage from Guerilla, Sony Bend, Sucker Punch, Polyphony, Studio Japan (TLG), and Sony Santa Monica. Talk about a loaded event.

Actually, the Crash Bandicoot series was extremely popular.

I do think a Crash game in 2016 would be a hard sell, but let's not pretend this franchise wasn't successful.

Should be a pretty decent show if all of them are presenting something on stage.
Who knows...maybe be a few other guests as well? :)

What are the chances Destiny will make an appearance again during the conference?

a) hundred percent

b) 100%

c) all of the above

I am not really a fan of crash, but if it is making a comeback who would be developing it? Certainly not ND... Which leaves us with what? Sanzaru?

Throw in a random Kojima, Persona 5 teaser, Ni No Kuni release date announcement, Call of Duty / Destiny kerfuffle, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand "one more announcement" - and you have the makings of a fine show.

I wonder why Sony doesn't do a one more announcement type of thing. They drop their megatons in the middle. Agent, FF14, Shenmue 3 and Final Fantasy VII were all in the middle.

You know what? I think that about covers it actually lmao. Still a bit doubtful on the Kojima appearance but everything else should go exactly as this. Fine show, indeed.

I'd like to see it too! I very much enjoyed Destiny 1, repetitive often, but the basic gameplay was really nice feeling.

Assuming this sequel is now PS4/Xbone only I hope we get a nice upgrade in visuals and environment size and so on.

The networking was already absolutely next-gen though, I'm still quite amazed at how functional the networking was in that game.

I don't think we are gonna see Polyphony on stage after they had that blowout event. I also still don't think we'll see Sucker Punch. So Santa Monica will be there with God of War IV. Bend with Dead Don't Ride. Guerilla with Horizon. And Media Molecule with Dreams. I'm really unsure of Quantic Dream. We'll get Destiny and Infinite Warfare there as well.

Persona 5 Teaser or Trailer + Release Date?

I and many others would prefer and are expecting the latter.

I'm just asking for a reaffirmation.

On another subject...Yesterday BradleyLove told us that Neo enabled games can be released from September 20th. I'd imagine that date is fairly solid? Now as an example Fifa 17 comes out 27th September and would therefore have to be Neo'd.

I've said before if games come on one disc for both Neo/PS4 (almost certainly) then the box will have the details for Neo on the back. I'm sure these get printed weeks or even a couple of months before game release (I know this from personal experience albeit from the early 90's as my first job).

The backs of these boxes will surely leak soon and likely before Gamescom and TGS. So for me the announcement has to be E3 or a dedicated event shortly after. That's not to say it has to come out this year but I'm sure they'd want to announce before leaked cases (or similar) with the real name drop...

Please pick my logic apart!

He's talking about the expansion. You're not gonna see Destiny 2 till next year.

Get out of here

the PS1 era Crash games were very popular.

What about a small team in Studio Japan headed by Mark Cerny. You know - the guy who worked on the original Crash :)?
That's what I've been thinking for awhile. If a game like Yooka-Laylee can be done by Playtonic which is like 20ish people, then a small team lead by Cerny at Studio Japan can probably handle Crash.

I think I'm gonna be disappointed with Dead Don't Ride, or at least the reveal. I always anticipated a Siren type game set in an open world with survival elements, but it sounds to be a bit more action-y with the whole motorcycle concept and such, making me think of something like Twisted Metal.

Oh ya, this makes perfect sense actually. Cerny's team is handling PS4 Crash. Or Blue Point is handling a Crash remake.
