Not what I heard..

Don't know what you've heard but it's clear that even if a new a Killzone game was in development at some other Guerrilla internal team (Cambridge? But they're working on Rigs for PSVR) right now the focus is on Horizon which will likely get a totally new on stage demo.

I know but i wonder how much of the team is on that

Checking their linkedin page, it states: "In 2012, it welcomed the SCE Cambridge Studio into the fold. Guerrilla now operates in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, employing over 200 developers from 25 different nationalities."

Under company size it says 201-500, so if we work the numbers we can probably figure out who's on what.

And what did you hear?

Was mentioned in the other thread that the Killzone franchise is in good hands, which we're assuming is with Cambridge.

Shinobi said that ShadowFall wasn't the last of the Killzone series, so maybe some other team is developing one? Doubt either the main Guerilla team or Cambridge have the resources to work on two games at once though so it's almost certainly not them.

Highly doubt that RIGS are still taking all of Cambridge's development team. Remember that RIGS have always aimed to be a PSVR launch title, and PSVR was originally slated for first half of 2016. I'm guessing a large part of the team is playing with Killzone ideas, and have been for some time.

So if there's over 200 people in Cambridge alone (though they may have scaled down since then?), I think you're right and that not everyone is on RIGS. Could be a potential 150+ people working on something else.
If i recall they were hiring for a multi million dollar franchise a year or 2 back as well.

Edit: yup was hiring 4 audio programmer in 2014. Cant post link

All we know is that several folks in the know have said Killzone isn't done and that Guerrilla Cambridge was hiring for a new shooter in a multi-million selling franchise.

I don't think we'll see it this year, but I'm sure a new Killzone is in pre-production at one of the Guerrillas... Unless they're developing Resistance :D

Pretty sure Guerrilla proper has two teams separate from Cambridge, right? It had been long rumored that Horizon was in development even around the time of Shadow Fall's launch. I always got the impression that the two development timelines overlapped.
Is it rumored? I thought they went on record saying a small team pretty much got started on horizon in 2012 and once killzone was done everybody moved over to work on horizon.

Not a fully separate team. From what I remember, after Killzone 3, a small group splintered off to start on Horizon while the rest of the team worked on Shadowfall. The team that splintered off would never have been able to complete Horizon on their own without the rest of the studio.

Will any surprise JRPGS get announced is the real question?

Sure hope so. CyberConnect2 has multiple projects they're working on, Mediavision tweeted about Wild Arms and wishing it could come back (or something to that extent), Cygames is making a PS4 game... pretty sure there are other studios with the potential to do something there as well.

Me and some guy in a youtube comments section randomly realized together that if this is to truly be the Year of Dreams 2.0, then there therefore, no questions asked, must be a new entry in the Chrono series. Whether that be Chrono Break or something else, it doesn't matter. A Chrono entry must be there.

Time will tell. Square does seem rather busy lately though, but if there's a JRPG revival movement, now's the time.

Crazy considering all the teasing Crash has been getting from Sony. Knack and Crash can coexist.

Yea, I really don't see the problem with then coexisting. Crash and Knack have different gameplay styles so they're not the same in the slightest.

he is talking about GG Cambridge

Or.... we simply forget all that "Dreams 2.0" nonsense and hope they will show a lot of new&great games.

Don't really know what to expect going into Sony this year.

All I know is I am not looking forward to sit through the Infinite Warfare demo they are obligated to have on stage because of their deal with Activision

Yeah, either Guerrilla already has a second team working on another Killzone, or Cambrigde has one in the works alongside RIGS. That franchise wont go away

I'd like a PASBR sequel. The first one was pretty good gameplay wise it just needed some more ways to kill and some better presentation.

Knack 2 will be a fully controllable 3D camera and people will love it. I'm hoping GOW4 does this too ... but I won't be too disappointed if it doesn't.
