Yeah. I'm pretty sure Luffy/Krillin's voice actor is up there with Nozawa, but they wouldn't just cancel the One Piece anime if she wasn't able to do VA work anymore.

I has been thinking this lately, what are they going to do when Nozawa retires? she is in at an advanced age, so I don't see her around that much. and at this point, goku/gohan/gotenks voice is really iconic.

So, they will find a new seiyuu? or drop the focus on those characters?

They replaced Mel Blanc when he died, and the characters he voiced are some of the handful that are actually more iconic than Goku.

They will find a sound alike, and boy do I feel bad for that person, having to fill those shoes.

I'm talking about her suddenly dying, or retiring, and that being the reason for the replacement. If they just suddenly replace her out of nowhere, yeah, there'd be a backlash.

Eh, after you watch enough there becomes a fairly obvious distinction between Kid Goku and Adult Goku in the Japanese dub. Goku doesn't sound like a kid at all anymore to me.

I'm so hyped for Future Trunks return that I went back and rewatched his first appearance with the japanese score. I always loved the theme but I didn't know it was heavily inspired (or ripped off) from the Murder of Love by Propaganda. Trunks had to go back further in time and steal this song for his theme. I see you Trunks.

Yeah, it's definitely good. Again, my biggest hope is character development for the rest of the main cast not Goku/Vegeta.

True. You can hear the different between Kid Goku and Adult Goku in the Japanese version. I don't mind Nozawa even if I great prefer the English dub. She is the original Goku and has done a great job voicing him all these years, so show some respect.

With that said, I do wish she didn't voice everyone in Goku's family (except Raditz} and Turlus. Especially Goten since he's already a Goku clone and Gohan deserved his own voice as an adult.

I'm looking forward to a more serious tone than what's been given. Dragon Ball comedy is great, but like everyone else being exposed to Z first really cemented for me that the series was a serious action anime with awesome transformations and over the top shouting.

I hope for some character development too, but hopefully they don't make Kid Trunks into a young version of FT. He was raised by Vegeta after all, so he should definitely keep his father's character traits (being a selfish prick who heavily overestimates his own power). That's what I like about Kid Trunks. FT is cool and all, but he's just too nice of a person to be Vegeta's son.

Trunks appears, plus the world of the future too, and Goku Black is scary; episode 1 is just chock full of highlights. I bet the 30 minutes will just fly by. Back when I was a kid and we didn’t even have home videos, watching anime on TV made us go “what will happen next week?!”; I think people will feel a similar sense of excitement from this.
