I believe the first campaign was a Firefly ripoff, takes place on "The Frontier", IMC is the giant government/corporation, Militia are the Browncoats.

Don't know about the new one though.

Agreed. This was pure garbage. Looked like PS1 graphics. And you could practically see the writers just sloshing in all sorts of FPS tropes. Not sure why they think anyone would be gullible enough to believe that pile of shite was planned further than 2 weeks out.

Why are single player games allowed to cost $60 but MP only games aren't, when you're likely to get tens of hours out of an MP game but only 10-12 from a single player one?

It's really stupid to demand tacked on modes for games that don't need them. We don't know if this is the case here because no one has played it yet, but asking for MP focused games to have a SP mode is like asking SP focused games to have an MP mode.

Cus everyone loved Arkham Origins and Tomb Raider's multiplayer modes, right?

I personally only really care about SP campaigns these days as I lost interest in competitive multiplayer a long time ago.

But there's also no doubting the success of MP-only games. Like Overwatch, for example. So it can work.

because a single player game is there forever, a multiplayer only game will die when the people move on to the next shiny new multiplayer game. As someone who collects games and revisits a lot of them after months/years I want to have something to come back to. And i tend to really enjoy for example the cod campaigns.

because a MP only game is an incomplete game so the price also should not be the full price. And no but I'm sure no one asked for those. On the other hand TLOU and uncharted multiplayer modes a great fun, for example.

Literally between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty 4 Remasted... I don't see how in the hell I'll have any time for all three of these.

EA can say whatever they want, but the reality is that simply because these are all AAA FPS titles, there's a massive overlap in the communities. They're going to end killing Titanfall by smashing it between two of the biggest releases of the year. Plus, you've got another heavy hitter, Gears of War 4, earlier that month.

Something's gotta move.

Looks cool. One of my issues with he original Titanfall was that the universe felt pretty cool, but I had no fucking emotional investment or attachment towards anything. This campaign could help change that. Definitely not getting this on PC unless there are server browsers tho. Not falling for that shit again.

Titanfall 1 on PC has nearly no visual advantage other than better AA and higher resolution though. Overall model quality, lighting and effects seem significantly improved in 2.

I'm not saying i only play the single player modes of those games, i play a lot of multiplayer. but a singleplayer should also be there. always.
