legit shocked at the REVII reveal, I wasn't prepared for that at all. My favorite games shown were Detroit and Spider-Man, can't wait to play those. The PSVR games looked great as well. I might get it day 1 to play Batman, Star Wars Battlefront, and FFXV.

I find it weird that they didn't talk about Gran Turismo more since it's supposed to come out this year. Yeah it doesn't look great but that franchise used to be their bread and butter.

Days Gone showing is abit weak due to what they decides to showoff --- you alone exploring and then fighting horde of zombies.
I mean, we already saw something similar in Dead Rising 3 early this gen.

Should've capitalized on that open world elements instead. Like how you survive at night if there's a day/night cycles, camping, building exploration etc...

You are not alone, this whole RE7 announce is disappointing, this is not RE i want

This makes me so happy. I really hope after the next Tomb Raider is revealed, fans of the recent Tomb Raider games are crying about how it's not what they wanted, it means just like now we finally have another survival horror RE, we might finally get another real TR game.

Seemless back to back to back games. They did a great job listening to people about filler. They even pulled out all those indie games which are a dead spot for many and just showed/talked about them a bit in the preconference show. They showed a lot of great games, all of them look solid to great thus far. Couple surprises, but no true megatons like TLG, Shemue, and FF7:Re from the past, so the standard is high. To be honest the only thing they could ever do to top that stuff is if they just even had a Half-Life 3 logo on the screen and gabe blather about it for a little.

I understand that they focused a bit on VR, and that gamescom and such is usually about revisions, but I am pretty let down they didn't talk about Neo at all. Overall one of the best done conferences you can have for flow, presentation, and quality.

EDIT: Balls of fucking steel for what they did to Dad of War, quite the departure.

Loved the presentation. God of War finally going new ways and Resident Evi finallyl gets interesting again after the bad RE5 and RE6 iterations. This is the way I rike it.

Syphony no.9 NEW World by Dvorak. Also known as THE GOAT. From the 4th movement Allegro Confucuo(?). Seriously listen to it (all 4 movements) enough times and it becomes a tracedental experience.

Thank you!
I think I must have heared it in a movie some time ago. Maybe a fight scene? Got stuck in my head.

Horizon looks great. Much more interesting modern Tomb Raider adventure with a nice variety of weapons and enemies.

God of War, Days Gone. Visually stunning but I dunno, not too exciting.

Spider-Man, I need to play this.

Resident Evil, thought for a moment it was Condemned. Looks very nice but not sure how it plays beyond that very short section. At least it's not recent RE.

Just got out of bed, still kind of high from last night's show. Sony totally nailed it. And such a classy show to boot with the red curtain and the live orchestra. It felt small, intimate and focussed. Really nice presentation all around. Totally worth staying up for until 5 in the morning.

Also, Look at Tim from Kinda Funny meltdown over the Crash Bandicoot announcement. This is why I love E3.

Ahaha. I love how he unabashedly gives in to the Skylander Crash at the end. The thirst for Crash is too strong in this one.

Days Gone showing is abit weak due to what they decides to showoff --- you alone exploring and then fighting horde of zombies.

Yes! I felt like it needed something to make it stand out more.

Great show by Sony but Crash is what people are excited about? I played those games and they were barely passable back then.

For me that was the lowest point of the whole show.

I thought it might just be me :) I know there's a lot of love for a Crash sequel on Gaf, but it sort of seems to have become a bit of a meme. The game was fine in 1996, but playing a bit of it again in Uncharted 4 just rammed it right home that I don't need that in my life again whatsoever :D

Amazing show. 9,5/10*. But that presentation of CoD. I was like " Wow, what is this? Colony Wars? Yeah. Oh, wait there's fps...hmn... Maybe some kind of "Star Citizen"-esque game? Damn, it's so fucking good. No matter what it is - Day 1. WHAT???? IT'S FUCKING COD??? WOW. SHIT! AMAZING! Unexpected!"

So many great games. I'm hyped for almost every single one.

If it wasn't for Crash letdown it would be 10/10

Honestly I had the same experience. I thought it was eve Valkyrie at first. They actually got me good because if they showed the logo first I probably would have taken a bathroom break.

Spider man was the best moment for me. There were some strange omissions I thought (here they lie, gr2,etc) but the nonstop Direct-esque presentation was great

And good on ya for the moment for Orlando and the live Orchestra (crazy that they pulled that off).

fixed that for you.

I thought that CoD showing was the only good showing they had. I thought the playthrough looked really cool.

I don't buy CoD games anyway.

Nothing new of interest to me, just like the MS conference.

What happened to Wild Arms? :/

Wild Arms was never a particularly solid rumor

There was a vague job listing from the devs of the series, but that was never confirmed to be Wild Arms at any point

And I don't recall there being any mention of it from any leakers before the conference either

So yeah, it was a bit of a longshot

This is pretty much the best Sony conference I have ever seen, and perhaps the best E3 conference too.

No talking, no bullshit. Just games.

I'm very excited for the PS4 line up.

Horizon is even better than I expected, holy shit.

God of War and Horizon look absolutely fantastic.
Spidey, Detroit and Days Gone are pretty interesting as well. Also, it was great to see Kojima on stage.

But the highlight for me was the announcement of the Crash Remastered Trilogy. Can't wait to replay them.

Fell asleep pretty much right after.

Nice change of pace from Sony, something a bit different.

Main opinion is damn their 1st party studios are just insane. Sure it's taken a fairly long time but these guys and girls know how to push a piece of hardware.

Also screw the haters of Cage, Detroit seems like a true HR sequel and looks great.

Norman Reedus was a legit shock. Glad Kojima got him over from Silent Hills.

I wonder if the environments in Sony's first party games will starting to feel samey down the road. Horizon, Days Gone, maybe God of War to some extent and eventually TLOU 2 might have a bit of a similar look. Then again there might be enough space between them.

Maybe there is nothing like that in the game? It could be more action oriented. With an additional drop-in/drop-out co-op mode.

As someone that lived through self stroke, stat citing conferences this was a good conference. Loved the pacing and how things were shown. Orchestra was weirdly hype.
Not everything spoke to me but that's game, that's a great sign of variety.
After last year I expected to be disappointed but I ended up being surprised.

Also Kojima tease + "I'm back" :D

Also it actually feels like Sony still has major stuff to reveal for PSX and TGS.

No indies was a bummer
Same for no Destiny.

Overall, not anything for me except for Horizon and Last Guardian maybe. Not a great conference.

I agree with you on the indies. I love those montage sections and trying to quickly decide whether a game is for me or not. As far as Destiny, I mean we all know it's coming but did expect a quick here's the ps exclusive gear.

I liked this years conference more then last years. More games that i'm interested in (I usually like Western games more then the Japanese games announced last year).

You meam it's essentially Dead Rising then?

Spider-Man was the biggest deal for me of the whole E3 show so far, in terms of 'wow' games. I think it could be really special. Insomniac are a good studio.

Aside from that, I wasn't that impressed with Sony's conference. The Koji game looks really interesting, but also miles away from release. Not sure about Crash at all. Seems like a very vocal minority who want Crash to come back, and I think Sony know that, hence the low-risk remaster, rather than a new game.

Last Guardian comes out in October.

After yesterday's conference I'm actually glad I sold my PS4. No Days Gone, Spider-Man or God of War release dates. For the consumer it seems that Microsoft had the better conference with games that are scheduled to release steadily over the second half of the year through the beginning of next. It's an incredibly disappointing showing from Sony.

Id give it a C- at best.

Okay good, that is because they haven't released any exclusive software this year already.

Yeah , unfortunately i agree as well. I was hoping for several Japanese games the majority was all western stuff. DMC5, wild arms, ni no kuni 2, dark cloud 3, and a bit more squareenix stuff was what i was hoping to get.

You should have opened with this instead of wasting time with your transparent query about *BIG* holiday games (as if that's the only time releases matter).

How are u about to say for the consumer Microsoft had the better conference when they literally announced a new console that will shit on what it is now and will alienate the playerbase with exclusive games for it?

At this point who knows. We haven't heard of any exclusive games for it. The same thing could happen with Sonys upgraded PS4.

The only games they announced are things that are coming to the XB1/PC. Everything else is just speculative noise.

I've never owned an Xbox in my life but it's clear to me they had the better conference hands down.

I thought the conference was pretty great overall. Lots of awesome looking games, and they got me rehyped for PSVR again.

Days Gone looks kinda meh, though. But hopefully they will show stuff in the future to change my mind. I'm always up for a good zombie game. Spider-Man looks awesome, can't wait to see more of that. Horizon still looks awesome, too. Also, I've never cared about CoD before, but that looked kinda awesome. I thought it was a new ip until the unveil.

It seemed like the conference ended kind of abruptly, though. I was expecting them to end with some kind of megaton, but it ended on kind of a whimper. Maybe it was because Days Gone didn't look that great. But I wonder if something didn't get cut.

They still have lots of stuff they can show at Gamescom or PGW in a couple months. I hope Gravity Rush 2 gets a moment in the spotlight at the next conference.

Also it was weird that No Man's Sky was missing. I hope it was just because they took the message of people being tired of seeing it there seriously. But I was expecting a short trailer just to remind folks it'll be out soon.

Sony revealed a bunch of new big budget games...MS announcements were, in my opinion, rather weak in comparison. New hardware, whether Neo or Scorpio, is too early in my opinion.

Where can I see the conference in good quality? :) I'm getting fairly laggy picture quality on the major sites (gamespot, youtube, twitch). Couldn't even find the video on Sony's own site.

I watch these conferences to see new things, not stuff Ive seen at previous conferences. I guess thats why I preferred Sony over Microsoft.

People happy they sold their system because they didnt show enough back half 2016 games is laughable. Its one thing to not have them (they do), its another to hype people for the future.

Hell, I think Sony has already released as much this year as Microsoft will by the end of it and they still have games like Abzu, Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2 and more coming.

But ya know, Sony has no games.
