What a wild ride, thanks for making the video. That said, has anyone tried playing James Taylor over mic in the VHS world near the headphones?
I just want to say that it was a great experience. I am one of those that doesn't like the direction that Resi-7 is taking "for various reason" but I still gave the demo a try and I am glad. I have been a lurker since 2013 and this little demo gave me reasons to post, it was fun to read other theories, and watch them try things for hours. so thank you all for making this a fun experience, and shame on you Capcom.....

Think about it like this, there are four possibilities on how he could have answered:
1) There is something more to the demo, and he didn't want to give away that secret.
2) There is something more to the demo, and he says this during the interview.
3) There isn't anything more to the demo, and he didn't want to say this.
4) There isn't anything more to the demo, and he comes out and says it.
Since he didn't do #2 or #4 we can only speculate on if it was #1 or #3.
Let's assume for a second the worse, that there is nothing else to the demo. Well what would you do in his shoes? Would you be the one to tell all the fans, who are already basically pissed at Capcom, that there is nothing else? He would then take all the responsibility for both killing the free viral marketing that Capcom is getting right now, as well as being the one to cause the massive amounts of negative email Capcom is sure to get if it's clear they strung their fan-base along for no reason.
So what is his logical choice? Pass the buck. Let someone else fall on that sword. No reason to make his job harder by pissing everyone off.
This doesn't really tell us if it's #1 or #3, but it makes it clear that his answer gives us no new information, because even if there isn't anything else he very likely wouldn't have told us.

No, seriously there have been real issues with people acting like spoiled shits. Time to put things into perspective. We've been having fun, it hasn't cost us a thing, and nothing is expected of us in return. I'd call that a pretty good deal.
We were egged on by Capcom representatives, saying there could be a use for the finger or the axe (when there isn't), or it's possible to get out of the house (when it's not, outside of a glitch). Sure, these guys probably weren't being directed by anybody higher up to intentionally mislead us, but the fact remains that that's what they did, either because they're misinformed, caught up in the hype, just plain dumb, whatever. As soon as Reps from Capcom starting saying there was more to the demo, Capcom themselves should have stepped in and said there wasn't. The people they hired to represent them and their product were misrepresenting it, and they should have said something at that point. They aren't completely blameless in all this.

I think you need to calm down pal, that poster said they had been a member for a few years and this was the game that got them interested in posting again and being involved with the community. Way to blow up in their face though.

It is likely misinformation/fake if no other reps are coming out and saying it. I'll only believe it when the dev team says it.

Listen, I am not here to argue with anyone. my opinion of this whole ordeal are the same as what the OP posted on the other thread, and I don't feel like I should be thanking them,
they gave us the demo to sell us on the experience as they are clearly not that confident about the game. " if they were the whole RE-7 ambassador program wouldn't be a thing." they didn't give us the demo out of the kindness of their heart. You are more than welcome to disagree with my views, but don't tell me how I should be feeling, thanks.

If there isn't, asshole move on Capcom, the game leads you on to believe there is more and is full of cryptic going nowhere stuff even if you aren't still obssesed about it.

Im on your team with this. It's messed up in a way wasting all of our time but I'm glad they did in a way. I enjoy games and things like this and even though it could get frustrating I enjoyed it a lot. It stimulated all of our minds forced us to think out of the box and made a community come together in a community that it's not always so easy to do in.
In the 3 days it showed how much persitence and determination we can all have with the end goal being the same for us all. Not once did I read anything about anyones race gender or sexual preference and it was refreshing not having it be a part of the whole thing like it usually seeps it's way in to a lot of game related things.
Yea it blows we didn't get to accomplish our end goal but a lot of us had a blast trying and if you weren't having a good time Idk why you still played. It isn't as if they forced you to play the game or participate in the thread. All I know is I enjoyed it as I'm sure a lot of others did. I can think of many worse things my time could of been wasted on that are much less enjoyable and this definitely has me looking forward to the next time something like this pops up again and us all trying to crack it.
Honestly think it would of made me more bitter about it if we had all given up then there was a solution found so I'm all good with how it played out.

I don't know about you guys, but I mostly tuned in at night to play the demo and watch streams on the side as I drank my leftover, bought-for-e3 beer. Can't speak for everybody in this thread, but I mostly found this equal parts intriguing and RELAXING (not even kidding).
I feel for the OP and everybody else feeling emotionally/mentally exhausted--I didn't invest as much as time as you did, more than likely. But job well done, guys. I honestly haven't changed my mind about the entire situation. I'm sticking to the fact that Capcom couldn't have released this shit without PT as a precedent. I'm still convinced this was designed to outdo PT in ways that would keep the PR running farther.
If I'm wrong and a solution doesn't exist, I will be pretty disappointed. If Capcom made it so that the solution can only come up in the form of some shitty update, I will be pretty disappointed. But as cheesy (mayhaps even gullible) as it sounds, 'twas fun. I also agree with some of the sentiments around the thread, viz. we did this to ourselves. But again, FUN.

To put it simply - a Capcom French FB account responded to an inquiry looking into clarity if the different phone messages constituted a different ending. People are still debating whether or not there is anything else to the demo or not. People are looking further into interviews to pull out evidence for their arguments in this debate. Users & some streamers in particular are showcasing signs of madness.

If anything, at least the thread was fun and we learned which posters aren't worth trusting with jack shit.
I had a blast posting, and chatting with people over on stream and on the thread.
I have said it before on the thread. This and P.T are those rare instances where a game encourages me to go and interact with the community to work together. To want to watch Twitch streams and talk to people, and best of all, just have a good time discussing the game. I do think that the community came together, at least with the people that had an interest for it. If its true that its over, then i at least leave with some new gaffers that i like and will look forward to chat with in other threads.
